Most Massive Pump Ever

This question might be a kind of extension of the "favorite bodypart" thread, but I'll put it in a separate thread because it is kind of a topic all on its own.

This question could be asked of anyone, but I'm sure the massive guys will have a lot to say. . .

What is the biggest and/or hardest pump you ever remember having? Have you ever had a pump that was so huge that your clothes actually felt tighter after the workout than before? One guy once told me that sometimes after he got pumped up he couldn't button his shirt that he had worn to the gym. Anyone else have experiences like that, and what did it feel like?

Interesting topic, Hulk!

Well, I can remember once when I was doing a full body workout just to mix things up a bit and I just pumped up until every muscle was not only pumped but felt like it was in PAIN! Every muscle was beet red and I even had trouble talking off my T-Shirt it was so tight, and it was a XXXL shirt.

After that workout I had to get to an evening group meeting, so I changed at the gym and went directly there. Once there I sat down and RRRIPPP!! The inner thigh of my pant leg had ripped open! Fortunately it did not rip too far out and I could sit there with my legs squeezed together to keep people from the other side of the room from getting a great peep show!

And it got worse...everyone was sharing stories and then I raised my hand to get the chair's attention, and you guessed it, there went the underarm of the shirt. Now, it was not a full fledged RRIPPPPP!!, but I felt the seams giving way and I could feel myself beginning to come out of the sleeve, and so I lowered my arm. I'm SURE it was the pump that started that chain of events and as I was going to get rid of those clothes anyway as they were straining to begin with, this just polished them off.

If I'd been at that meeting, Ron, I'd had a different sort of pump going on! :-)

Legs. It's always the legs, both quads and calves. Literaly stretching the jeans every time .

Legs, definitely legs

I usually train quads on Saturdays and hamstrings on Sundays... so Monday morning I headed to work in my custom tailored suit. Never wore the jackets, just the slacks... but always had to have the waist tailored in. Following the usual exhausting leg routine over the weekend the legs were still sore with delayed onset muscle soreness and were squeezed into my slacks. Sure enough the seems burst. Fortunately the split down the inseam near below the crotch. The Italian wool just shredded completely away from inseam and then split horizonally. Needless to say the slacks were not repairable.

I don't know how you made it through the meeting without everything exploding out of your clothes Ron, lol. That sounds pretty incredible? Did you have to cut them off when you got home?

I've never had a pump so extreme that clothes didn't fit anymore. But I can report that the most painful pumps are on shoulder night. The pain of a good pump is not the muscle itself but the stretching of the sheath called fascia. On shoulder night my fascia hurt so much that I either want to cry or puke.

Haven't had any blowout yet, but there arfe times that if I wear a shirt that is a little on the tight side to the gym and go as big as I can on upper body that, that it's so tough to move in that shirt that I hope that I don't manage to put a tear or two somewhere in it between the there and home and then even harder to get it back off when I get home.

Had several memorable ones over the years. i can always count on legs to get a HUGE pump every time i hit them. Forearms too will sometimes pump so hard that i have to pull the pump out or i can't grip the steering wheel to drive, lol.

But, the ones i honestly remember the most are the arms, delts, bi's and tri's. I know that shoulder pain digger's talking about. And when the pump gets so hard that you can't raise your arms up enough to do an exercise correctly. Hard as hell to even put the shirt on when i am done. Hot, red . . .

And I know the forearm pump you are talking about, b. spencer. Trying to work the combo lock on my locker with that pump is comical.
