Oakswood F

Hey guys, this is quite a short chapter. It ends in the right place though, for what happens afterwards. The next one is going to be a long one, it's already over the average size of a chapter and it doesn't feel like it's going to be done for a while (especially with my course starting again next Monday, hurrah!). Please ignore any discontinuities and enjoy.

Oakswood F

Sophia actually tutted. “Now who’s coming out with the cheesy one-liners?” she asked as she got out of bed. On the other side, Jennifer was still snoring despite the distinct lack of one wall.

“There’s more people,” I said in my blessedly deep voice. I could hear them outside.

“We can go out the back way,” Sophia said. “Though you should probably put some clothes on first. Are you back to your usual size?”

I flexed my arms, watching the biceps peak and the veins pulse. “No, not quite,” I said. I was big enough, though. I was much stronger, and that would have to be enough for the time being. I took my clothes from my bag and pulled them on, grimacing at the looseness of the vest and sweats. They weren’t stupidly too large, so it wasn’t all bad.

“There’s a lot of them,” Sophia said as she looked out the window.

“Then we have to go,” I said. I tugged my big shoes on and ceremoniously yanked Jennifer out of bed. Incredibly, she was still asleep.

“She is impossible to wake up!” Sophia remarked.

“Makes it easier for us,” I said. I went to the opposite wall, and gave it a swift kick. The bricks fell through, making a hole large enough for me to squeeze out of. I pushed a few loose bricks out as well, looking down at the back garden. It should be fine, I told myself. I could jump that far without getting hurt, right? “Get on my back Sophia.”

“You cannot be serious,” she said, but she got on and clung for dear life. I dropped out of the bedroom with a decisive thud, my legs taking all of the force with no effort. If it had been Sophia or Jennifer, they would have probably broken both of their legs. I never really thought about my super strength in any way other than to lift lots of heavy things, but it came with some more subtle uses. I found that, with a small run, I could easily jump over the tall fence into the next garden. I carried on in this way, dodging stray plant pots and gnomes as I headed towards an unknown destination. My powerful legs took this effort in their stride (literally), and I was hardly out of breath when we reached the end of the gardens on that street.

“Prospect Street,” Sophia muttered in my ear. “I don’t know where we are, so I can’t tell you where to go.”

“We need a landmark,” I replied.

“I have a better idea,” Sophia said. I felt her rustling against my back, but didn’t know what she was up to. I carried on through the next load of gardens until I reached the road, then headed down the unknown street at a brisk jog. My footsteps seemed to thud in the early hours of the morning.

“What street is this? Ryland Road?” Sophia asked, looking as we went past a sign saying just that. “Uh huh... right. Keep going this way, then left at the third turn.”

“How do you know where we are?”

“My iPhone has multiple applications, including wireless internet!” Sophia claimed.

“Oh right.” She could have let us know what was happening here then with Kane, couldn't she? I didn't bring that up, she would have if she could, surely.

Jennifer snored from where she was tucked under my arm.

I headed in the direction Sophia told me to, and a short while later we came to Prospect Street. It was a long street running down the side of the river, with warehouses between the road and the murky water. Warehouse 5 was where we were hoping to still find Kane, alongside that machine which was negating the powers of the students at school.

“Sorry Jen,” I said as I shook her awake. She blinked and looked confused until I put her down. Sophia gave her a brief explanation of what happened as we approached the warehouse, keeping her voice down. The place was silent and we didn’t want to get caught straight away.

We headed to one of the smaller side doors, and Sophia went in first. “All clear,” she whispered. Jennifer and I followed her into the dark warehouse, where all I could see was Sophia’s hair under the dank lighting. She led us down various damp corridors into the main storage area, where I soon saw what we were up against.

People lined one of the walls, held by what had to be Edgar’s locking power. I couldn’t make out anyone I recognised, but I was sure Kane was there somewhere. In the centre of the room was a small, glowing glass machine which flashed a neon blue at irregular intervals. Arcs of blue light flashed at the roof, where a very phallic receptor caught them and glowed in return.

“Nathan smash?” Sophia whispered.

“That’s the idea,” I said. “We have to kill Edgar to unlock everyone. Do you think you can do that?”

“Of course I can,” Sophia said with disturbing nonchalance. “Come on Jen.” They skirted to the side of the warehouse as I walked very casually to the middle of the room. I didn’t expect the machine to hold me back, only two paces from breaking the bloody thing.

“Clever isn’t it?” said a very familiar voice. “Robin’s repairs are incredible aren’t they.” I was knocked off my feet by a looming figure at this point. I looked up, incredulous at what could knock me over. It was Eamon. He had teleported next to me before I could react.

And he was huge! No wonder people were intimidated by me, if I was his size. He only wore a tight pair of shorts, his heaving chest sporting a dense coat of blond hair. He cracked his knuckles, then his thick neck. It was a distraction from the impressive bulge in his shorts. He got that from me, I supposed. I bravely looked into his eyes, but for some reason they didn’t captivate me as they did before. Standing, I was just a hair shorter than him. I wasn’t at my full former height, but it was disturbing. He was stronger than me, and he could teleport. What else could he do?

I soon found out as he threw fireworks at my chest.

“Nathan!” Sophia cried. I shut my eyes as I waited for them to explode on me, but a whirring noise indicated that they were elsewhere. I looked to see Sophia with her hands out, shifting them back to Eamon. He was fighting back just as hard.

“That guy is psycho,” Jennifer pointed out as she moved to the first person who was locked. “Wow, you’re really stuck.”

I took the chance to swing for Eamon, punching him square in the gut. This distracted him long enough for the fireworks to return to him, blowing me back as he took them in the chest. I scrambled to my feet in time to block a counter punch from him, the big guy snarling at the burns on his chest.

“That’s enough, Eamon,” said a disturbing lilting voice. I was thrown to the floor as my hands and ankles were trapped in familiar invisible locks. The air was solid around them, and I knew it was Edgar’s doing.

“I should have snapped your neck when I first saw you,” I muttered as Edgar waddled into tantalising punching range.

“Not so tough without your lock picking friend, are you?” Edgar simpered.

“Erm... no, I’m not,” I supposed. Damn Corey for not being around!

Eamon was there in an instant, kicking me in the side. Damn, that hurt! “Quit being a smartass Nathan. You’re screwed now.”

“And so are your little followers,” added Edgar. This was turning into a low-budget action film, and fast.

“You will never get away with this!” cried Sophia.

“Oh shush,” Jennifer said. “We’re the main characters, we can’t die... right?”

“Anyway...” Edgar moved about the room, looking far too pleased with himself. From where I was stuck to the floor I could see he was actually sporting a little chubby. “Eamon, be a darling and get Kane out for us.”

“Kane!” I said without thinking.

“Ah, your precious little Kane,” Edgar drawled. “He has quite the mouth on him, doesn’t he?”

Eamon went to the wall, too far away for me to make out the separate people. He plucked a vaguely Kane-shaped guy from the wall and carried him over to stand just a few feet in front of where I lay. He was wearing a collar and he was deathly pale.

“What the hell have you done to him?” I snarled, trying to break the binds with no luck.

“I just ate his power. I have to keep him close to hand for when I need to refuel, that’s all.” Eamon licked his lips at me. “Not as tasty as you though. I think I’ll enjoy taking your power again. We could do it right here, on the floor, in front of everyone. Wouldn’t that be something to tell the kids about? Not that you’ll be having any.”

“Yeah, they’re kinda gross.”

“I was referring to the fact that you won’t be leaving here alive.”

“Oh.” I struggled some more. “Why?” I asked. “What’s so special about Oakswood that you have to attack it? Can’t you guys just stay in Barkroot and play chess or something a bit less evil? We can all just get along fine, honestly, nobody cares at Oakswood.”

“I’m not here to discuss reasons with you,” Eamon said matter-of-factly.

“Nathan, don’t try reasoning with these people,” Jennifer said. “They aren’t on the same wavelength as any of us. They just want to be in control of all the power that’s all there is to it.”

“Yes, question time is over,” Eamon said. He put Kane down on the floor and flexed, his great pecs thrusting outwards. Those impressive shoulders rolled as he cracked his knuckles, and even then I had to admit he was pretty hot. That thought soon passed when the man kneeled down over Kane.

“What are you doing to Kane?” I demanded.

“Just getting some more of his power, that’s all,” Eamon said calmly as he unded Kane’s belt.

Something in my head snapped. The sight of Eamon near Kane’s crotch – MY crotch – was maddening. I tugged against the invisible bonds, yelling at the top of my lungs. I had to stop Eamon. I had to stop Eamon from hurting Kane. I had to get to Eamon as soon as possible. That was all I could think of, and the more I thought the less heavy the weight seemed. It was an alarming moment for Edgar when he saw my body moving, resisting against his locks.

“This is impossible!” he spluttered. I wasn’t listening to him though, I had a very clear target right in front of me. Eamon got up and stared at me with wide eyes even as I charged into him. It was my eyes, I knew it. He couldn’t keep his gaze away from them when I was so... determined... to fit him into dozens of small containers. That was what captivated me before, and now it had him right where I wanted him. I slammed right into him, our huge bodies crashing against the invisible barrier. The thought of him anywhere near my boyfriend was infuriating. I was breathing hard as I pinned the big guy up against this ethereal wall, but not because I was tired.

“Stay where you are Edgar!” I snarled as I could hear him shuffling. “Let go of everyone.”

“You’re an idiot if you think-“

You’re an idiot if you think I won’t snap this fucker’s neck if you don’t do as I say. Then I’ll break yours next.” I could feel he was trying to pull me back with his power, trying to lock me down, but I was so intent on Eamon that it was proving impossible. “I’m going to count to five,” I said quietly.

I didn’t even get to two when the people against the walls were freed. They swarmed together in a penguin huddle, though some of them stood a little apart and looked rather angry.

Sophia and Jennifer moved over to them, making cooing noises and calming them down. I lifted Eamon a little higher.

“Robin!” I shouted. The student hurried over, her hair a mess and her expression one of haggard shock. I looked her up and down briefly. She needed to eat more, I thought to myself. “Can you turn this stupid machine off?”

“Of course I-”

“Just do it, smartass.” Eamon fell backwards as the barrier disappeared, though I still held him up by the neck. He was looking a little less buff than I remembered. “Your power stealing, it’s only temporary isn’t it? And these people are like your little library of gifts.” The words “nail” and “head” came to mind as Eamon blinked dumbly. He didn’t seem to have any control over himself. I on the other hand was as calm as an oversized man could be when his boyfriend had just been threatened.

“Nathan,” Kane said from behind me. I dropped Eamon to the floor so I could scoop him up. Whatever he had to say could wait as I hugged him. “Nay-Nay!” he managed to muffle into my chest. I let him down, though I had to run my hands over his shoulders to make sure he was ok. They checked his hair, his chest, his arms, as he spoke. “I didn’t mean to. Eamon, he has those weird eyes going on, I was totally hypnotised...”

“Me too,” I said softly. “It’s fine. Honestly.”

Kane seemed relieved to leave it at that. And so was I. “Most of these people aren’t students any more. I can take the students back to the school though.”

“Take whoever wants to go,” I said. “But take Eamon and Edgar to the Headmaster first.”

“Alright,” Kane said as if he hadn’t just been out of it for who knows how many hours, “But you do have to let go of me first, yeah?”

“Oh, yeah.” I let go of his hand, which he barely flexed as he went over to Eamon. He took off that stupid collar, and he could teleport once more.

So that was how we saved the day. Again.

-

Kane was alright, the students were all put to bed with some chocolate and the school was safe. Without the forcefield, the men on the school grounds were very quickly rounded up by the teachers alongside Eamon and Edgar. Hopefully that was the last we would see of the pair of them, and anyone else who thought to try anything. Kyle was still out there, and whatever other people had effectively defected from the school. This struggle was far from over, but for now... we were winning. It was a comforting thought.

It was also time to eat. The journey back took far too long for my liking and the Head was at the gates when I returned, so I was starved. I got changed before I went to the kitchen, putting on a red top and some shorts which I think were supposed to be baggy. I probably needed a shower but that was second to my hunger pangs.

“Holy...!” Corey said as I entered the kitchen, “Nathan, you look jacked.”

“Thanks,” I said with a grin as I went to get some well-deserved dinner.

“No, I mean it.” Corey sounded serious from where he was supposed to be doing some reports or something on the table. “You’re looking really big. Everyone’s powers are pretty much back to normal now, so I might just be imagining things. You are the biggest guy I’ve ever seen though.”

“Hmm.” I looked up from the fridge. “That could be it. But you weren’t here when I was small.” Was I bigger than previous to the forcefield about the school?

I didn’t really think about what Corey said as the smell of frying meat distracted me. When I went to bed I thought a little on it, but I was sleepy and it didn’t matter when I was so comfortable. Kane snuggled up to my broad chest, tried to wrap his arms around me and nuzzled into my pecs.

“Love you, big guy,” he said sleepily.

Another great chapter, even though the showdown with Eamon was maybe a little shorter than I was hoping. I'm sure we'll see more of him at some point though (or at least I hope so). Now that Nate has his powers back, it's time for him to keep getting bigger!

Also...I wanted to say this is probably the first muscle growth series where I look forward to the story just as much as the actual growth, strength, and muscle. =D

I seriously love reading this story. I am very happy everytime I log on and see a new chapter.

This episiode wrapped up rather quickly but it sounds like you've got another one right on it's heals.

Can't wait as always.

I like how it was. long suffering to get there untill the final showdown where you wanna watch so fast the bad guys' butts kicked.

Also sweet kane and Nay-nay.

This story is so good. Maybe Nathan will think about being a guardian of powers or something alike. I mean for a job
