Other reasons

For those who have worked out, especially for a long time, did you have any other reasons besides things like, "I'm doing this for me." (I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but it's also the reason we're all there.)

I'm mostly just curious of course. As for me, I actually don't have any further reason other than the above mentioned.

Well, I've dated a guy before who solely worked out because he knew I liked it o.O

i do it because its an art form to me because i am sculpting my self and well i love the pump as well and hope to find some one some day that will find it as beautiful as i do and that i can share it with as in my body that i have worked so hard for and will continue to work twords my goal which has no limits the only limit is the ones i make in my head.

I do it because I like the way it makes me feel, and because I like being BIG and love the idea of getting even BIGGER!

perhaps this is silly and selfish and shallow, but I'll just say it flat out and plain:

I'm in the gym because I want people to look at me, and I want some respect. Unfortunately, physical size and beauty is what gets the most attention in the world in general, but particularly in the gay world. So I'm there, for what it's worth, busting my ass. If I get the body of my dreams and people still aren't looking at me, I can always quit and try something else. But I've got the rest of my life to be out of shape. I can only be young and hopefully buff once.

cause it's healthy, makes me more confident (i've been told about it lately like getting a more straight position while walking, which means a better thing for the back) . I'd also like to be muscled, i like the shape. And maybe if i like a muscle guy who like muscles too, he'll like me in return

I started to try and loose weight, didn't loose much fat, but I've gained plenty of muscle and alot of people think I'm anywhere 30-120lbs lighter than I actually am!
