To a bigger future...?

Hey, I?m brand new to this place. It seems pretty supportive with nice people haha. It?s always a little awkward joining a new forum.

Anyways, hopefully I?ll stick around here and let you guys see me grow. I?m pretty scrawny at the moment, 5?10? at 128.3lbs (as of this morning) which is a hell of a lot better than I was three months ago (112lbs). I swear I didn?t have an eating disorder, I was just too depressed to actually motivate myself to make anything. : (

I?m pretty impressed with how far I?ve come already, I only started working out six or seven weeks ago and my weekly gains literally doubled after I started haha. My overall goal is to get to a totally ripped 180lbs. Probably a year or more for that, huh? For now I have my sights on 150 by August. I think I can do that. The best motivation in the world is when I'm in the shower and I'm soaping myself up and I realise that I've actually gotten a little beefier, haha.

Pictures when I have something to show off. :P Until then I guess I?ll poke around a bit more. Say hi sometime, I don?t bite. :3

Hope you're taking your "before" pics now anyway so your "after" pics will look all the more impressive when you hit your goals.

Thanks Anthony. :>

Oh yeah, I have a number of 'before' pics. My weight has not changed much at all over the past few years until now. So I've got a few good reference photos.

Update

Wow, ok so it has been a year and a half since I made this thread, long time eh?

So I was 128lbs at that point, a lot of the gains I had made at that time was bodyfat since I was sooo underweight. Not even the kind of fat you would really notice, it was basically the standard healthy fat on your body, in your ass and on your face kind of thing.

Since then I've pulled my weight up to 138 (as of last week) and I am clearly more defined and built than before. My previous goals were a bit optimistic, but life got in my way numerous times setting me back. Lately I've managed to get my shit together and pack on 7lbs in the last 6 weeks or so. A grand total of 26lbs have been gained so far.

So I'm hoping to break the elusive 140lb goal within the next few weeks, and push up to 150 by the new year. By the time I'm 25 (21 right now) I will reach my ultimate goal of a shredded 175.

Thus, I bid thee farewell with juicy photos:

Hello gents. Didn't realise I had a small following on here.

So, I don't have any bad news, but it's not particularily great news either. I have gained some weight since July, but not a whole lot. I have, however increased my lifts, quite a bit for some of them. Funny how you can gain strength but not mass at the same time. Ehh well, it does catch up eventually.

Started a new routine just today, and it was probably the best back workout I've ever had so it seems promising. The local Walmart just became a super centre so I can buy food there instead of Safeway, which means it's like half the price so I can buy twice as much!

Aside from that, thanks for the support, I am still going strong and consistent at the gym, my diet has its ups and downs but is on track. So yeah, hopefully this new routine will help break the plateu. Still planning to get jacked as fuck. Now if only my BCAA's would hurry up and arrive in the mail. D:

Yeah sometimes a walmart can surprise some people. I love getting my fruit from there. It's shocking to why some of the other stores can stay open when they are charging so much more for the same thing, but then again walmart is a wholesale or bigbox store.

I also get most of my workout clothes from there, have to always buy them a size or two bigger. I think with that it's always miss-sized.

Keep plugging along. With increased weight lifted (and proper food intake--thanks in advance to Wal-mart), you will add bodyweight and size, too. Your change of routines should help as well. Thanks for the update.

Hey, thanks guys!

So last time I posted about my new workout routine, it has been going very well. In fact I've finally broken the plateau I've been at for the last six months and gained about two pounds. So now I'm sitting at 140 (fucking finally) and that's a grand total of 28lbs gained in the last 28 months.

150 by 2013? I think so.

Aight, so time for an update, yeah?

I've been putting on some size lately, fuck yes! So since the last time I posted a picture, coming up on two months ago, I've gained 5.5 lbs. Five point mofuggin five pounds! That's pretty sweet. I can definitely feel it and see it, it's awesome and it's only making me want more. A lot more.

So here I am today at 143 lbs. http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/f...0Shots/143.jpg

Now I'm going to go for another five or more in the next two months.

Anyways, always down for a chat. I'm looking to get huge so any other bodybuilders are definitely welcome as well! [email protected]

Later 'gents.

If you hadn't said your weight, I would have guessed about 160. Your muscle increase is quite noticeable but your abs still look good. WAY TO GO! Sounds like you are not lacking motivation but if you find your gains beginning to slow, change up your routine--and keep eating!

Good luck~

Hey guys, long time no speak.

So here's the down-low on the last few months. Shortly after my last post here back in February, I fucked my shoulder.

Basically I severely strained one of the rotator cuff tendons and/or had a minor labral tear. Since I did not get an MRI and my shoulder has now returned (almost) to normal my guess is that I lucked out and it was an RC issue and not a slap tear, or minor enough of a SLAP tear that my shoulder can compensate for it. Basically it gets very slightly sore with heavy shoulder or chest workouts, but has improved each week.

It has taken since mid February until this week to be completely pain free again and only this last week have I been able to return to full intensity workouts (started workouts 3 weeks ago). So I'm one lucky bastard and this could have been much, much worse.

Weight wise I lost about 8lbs. Went from 143 to 134.5, gained back 1lb since restarting though so 135.5 this week. I also stopped taking creatine and dropped all that water weight which was around 5lbs, so all in all I didn't lose much lean mass.

Now for future prospects:

Right now I'm working with a new program my buddy was kind enough to provide for me. He's got a competition in two weeks and is huge and hella ripped! He said a fairly lean 150 by October is doable for me, which I'm happy to hear.

Today I audited my average daily caloric intake with the foods that I eat pretty much everyday. We're looking at 3500-4000+/day. My metabolism is both a blessing and a curse haha.

This whole ordeal was pretty tough but I will never give up and I've come out of it with more determination than before so expect to see some progress next time I update!

Thanks for reading!

Look at it this way Syphon, the human body can not only recover after an injury such as this, but it may actually progress even better than before the injury. (Be careful though! )

How y'all doing?

Just a quick update. Bulking has been going excellent, my weight is up to 141.5lbs as of today. My weight is just about where it was pre-injury, but without creatine this time!

This week I made the mistake of doing some heavy incline pressing, and while it was great for my chest, it has caused some soreness in my shoulder which has been plaguing me all week. Urghhh. We'll see how this week goes, might have to step back the intensity a bit.

Anyone have any suggestions for working the upper chest without heavy incline presses? Up until this week I've just been using the machine for it, but the ROM on the machine is crap and doesn't even feel like it's doing much at all. It is the only lift other than rear DB flys that causes shoulder problems.

Here's a quick update for anyone interested.

Bulking has been going great, up to 145.8lbs as of today! That's the heaviest I've ever been. Shoulder is doing good too, just have to be cautious with it.

Got myself some lifting straps and my traps have been complaining about it bahaha. Monster traps in no time. Monday will be my first deadlift sets with straps, going to be ballin' out of control.

My goal is to be up to 150lbs by September then continue bulking until mid-winter getting up to 160~170 then cut in the spring.

First pic is a few weeks after I started back to the gym from my injury, second is today. Over 10 lbs difference. Third is before I picked up a weight. Big change eh?

My traps have exploded and my neck is thicker. Those straps were definitely a good buy. You can't really tell from the pics but my arms are bigger and so is my back and legs. I'm guessing my fat is around 14% I'm actually further ahead on my bulk than I planned so I might be gaining a bit too much fat, but my abs haven't completely vanished so I'm not complaining. I set my goal to be 150 by September so just about there. Might actually be able to bulk higher than 165 by mid winter!! Whatever the case I'll just get as big as I can without becoming a tub of lard, then cut down till I'm shredded as fuck, probably 150-ish.

I'm basically switching up my routines every week now, just watching vids of some of my favourite bodybuilders and seeing what they're doing, it's helped and this week I was hella sore.

Anyways, to illustrate a better idea of my goals I found this dude. No idea who he is... but damn. From what I can tell we have the same ecto bone structure and that is what I'm going to look like one day. What do you think? Ripped 160-165 @ 5'10? His traps and arms and fucking everything are unreal!

Sisyphon,
You are doing REALLY well! Congrats on 10 pounds of mostly muscle in two months! Nothing like having the hormones pumping to help the workouts and to help fuel the growth!

BTW, your goal guy is impressive, BUT I like your build better! YOU don't have the bitch-tit-bulbs-under-your-nipples that "goal guy" has. You have a good shape - don't think you have to bitch tit it up to look good!

You'll get there!

Keep lifting!

Thanks for the update. Yes, the progression is very impressive. Would love to see additional pics from other angles to get the full picture. Keep it up, buddy!

Just a quick update, last week I weighed in at 152 lbs! So I've exceeded my September goal! Now I'm going to go for 160 by November.

If there are any serious lifters out there who would be down for a chat, send me a PM or on MSN [email protected]
