My progress and goals.

I started out in 2007 because I was sick of being skinny. At about 5'9/124 lbs I really hated my body.

Then I hired a trainer at school who got me up to about 158 lbs in that school year.

Then I graduated and moved to Georgia to go to graduate school. I lost my trainer, all my food at home, my gym and everything. Today I weigh about 145 lbs with 21 percent bodyfat... AKA "skinnyfat"

My school just started a program where you can get a trainer for free to work with you. I met with him today and he wants to train twice a week. I don't think I will make alot of progress as I only have like 3 months total with him. He also wants me to lower my bodyfat which is a concern because I am terrified of being that skinny again.

My overall goal would be a beefy/stocky body... The problem is that I am such an ectomorph that I have narrow shoulders and bones. I've wanted this for years but finances, schedules and school has gotten in my way. I'd love if some of you guys could help me reach these goals starting from where I am. What would be a good weight for my build? Bodyfat percentage? What areas would you stress?

Okay, I'm back at it. Finally in a place where I can eat and lift. I currently weigh about 175 lbs. I am at the heaviest I have ever been, but I really need the upper body muscle to look right. Wish me luck!

Hey, good luck with the new program. At first you probably don't have to worry about bodyfat percentage much. If you think you've got a bit too much padding, just increase your cardio. By lifting consistently, and using higher reps and lower weights in your sets, you should start seeing improvements in your overall physique, while burning fat at the same time. Don't let the scale fool you. You might not be losing weight, but you'll be gaining muscle and losing fat.

Looking forward to seeing progress pics.

Good luck. Keep up the heavy lifting and the eating and you're sure to bulk up even more. You've done extremely well so far.

My largest concern will be gaining fat at a faster pace than I can gain the muscle. I don't wanna have a beer gut with skinny limbs and shoulders.
