Post workout Supplement after Cardio? Hey so I was wondering if it is worth taking a post workout supplement after doing cardio? A source online told me that it wasn't as effective, and essentially a waste of product to a certain degree because you aren't necessarily straining the cardiac muscle to the point of repair (compared to skeletal muscle.) My post-workout is tasty, but it costs money so I would rather put it to good use - it's Afterglow if anybody is interested. It's got a great combination of carbs, protein, BCAAs, potassium, and other nutrients. Anybody have another word? |

It would depends on a few things. 1) what time your doing cardio 2) are you doing to burn off fat or to strengthen the heart 3) how long are you doing cardio and what level. if your doing in the am for fat burning before your first meal then you need to do some protein and good carbs such as oats after you do cardio. Your cardio for fat burn should not be past 3.5 speend on the tread mill at 4.0 angle and only 30 mins 3-5x a week. if your doing it during the day you still need some post cardio shake . it would have to be low carb such as isopure. |
