SYFY's Being Human

Anyone else getting into this series? I like the interplay between the three main characters. I believe it it well written and the acting is good. Just wanted to know if anyone else is watching?

I'm still upset over the US version. If we can watch UK Doctor Who then we can watch UK Being Human.

Never mind that I don't watch either version... lol.

Lucas88,

I had no idea there was a BBC version. Same title? I'll definitely check it out if I can find it. Are they very different? Thanks for the heads up.

Before you guys ruin for yourselves, you've absolutely GOT to go online and download, or BBCamerica video on demand, or to the shops and buy the original UK series and watch it first.

It's SOOO much better!

There are three seasons out currently. Most of the actors have been extras or had minor roles in either Dr Who or Torchwood but it's also got some pretty well-known classically inclined actors in it was well. It's well-written, funny, and at the same time a great drama.

Make sure you watch it from Season 1 forward though.

BTW, does anyone have a clue why BBCamerica insists on showing X-Files and Star Trek TNG? What's British about 20 year old American tv shows?

Same title (3 seasons) and the storyline on the American version seems to mirror the UK version for the most part...there are some differences like in the finale of the American version last night...I won't spoil it for you. I really loved the accents. I'm one of those viewers that can watch something over and over if I'm into it.

Gotta disagree here about the "SOOO much better"...while the original is always better to some extent, I like the American take on the story...it's different enough to be interesting. The wolfman is quirky and nerdy. the vampire is cool but tormented (and I like the way the American version handles the female vampire better). The ghost gets a little whinier in the American version but I can deal with that.

CANNOT answer why the old American shows are playing on BBCAmerica...guess they have a cult following for the US brits, too?
