A view of my gym

I've been working out in the gym I go to for over a year now.
It's a nice gym...
Take a look...




It must have been a cold day... normally the guys (cough) in the gym just wear little pieces of material.

I'll keep you updated on if any changes happen... in the gym.

Okay, this is a little preachy, but as a semi-professional photographer I should bring this up...

The people in my gym let me take pictures because I DON'T put those pics out on the Internet. Reasons for this include:

We have sense of being a community. If I posted pics I took in my gym on the 'Net and was found out I would never be allowed to take pix there again. I HAVE taken photos for our gym wall and of some big 'ole boys but they, even though they didn't know me very well, trusted me. I feel a bit obligated to honor that trust.

I keep track of my workouts on my iPhone. I've had people tell me that such cell phones aren't allowed at their gyms because people take pix in the gym or in the shower room and post them on the Internet. This doesn't happen at my gym and I'm sure going to do all I can to keep it that way.

Lastly, it's a question of personal integrity- just because you CAN do something does that mean that you SHOULD? I enjoy seeing some hulking brute working out as much as the next guy, but what does the hulking brute think about it? If he's okay with it- cool. If not, the photographer has gone beyond sharing, he's gone into stalking/using/exploiting.

I've had people tell me that the gym is a public place and I CAN post whatever pix I take.

But does that mean that I SHOULD?

That big white bird is NOT something I want near me anywhere in the water. Gorgeous, vicious, ill-tempered beasts, Swans and Geese. They can break an arm or nip off a finger.
