Hey. I'm just wondering why cars and beds are no longer a problem for Alex. That used to be my favorite part!!

Jen12smith34 ... because that would become boring if it were repeated too often. We can assume it for some things.

The plywood reinforced floor-box beds are VERY strong, so that part I believe without any problem. I'm just assuming they rented LARGE cars, or vans.

That said, if Alex is outgrowing the taxi, a UPS truck or something on those lines would work - amusingly (irony is a bitch) a small school bus would probably work too. But paint it first.

Sorry for not posting... Umlerian49

I did write some thoughts about Chapter 23 but never got around to posting them sorry about that… Trying to become a 5'5" version of Alex takes a lot of time when you don't have the formula for the Grow Juice to help. I and another reader also did so speculating about what’s happening back in Alliance, in particular some rather unlikely pairing that have reported before Alex and Ryan headed south.

Chapter 23:

Cool... This is a rather different view of Ryan... He's normally pretty level headed, but it appears that on this trip he has decided to "let his hair down." Particularly after Ryan had a couple of drinks, I thought I was reading about Sammy, I don't think it's a good look for Ryan... Frankly, the last line should have been Alex saying to Ryan “Can’t take you anywhere.” I think that this trip may change the dynamics of Alex and Ryan relationship. Alex worships Ryan like a god and if Ryan continues to behave like a human being, with all the normal flaws, Alex will be crushed.

Alex, on the other hand, is acting like Alex... With his odd mix of logic based, beyond his years wisdom, and child like innocence openness… The traits that make Aspies so adorable but can get them in trouble at the same time.

I believe I did suggest that the guys look in sunscreen in gallon containers… If Alex is as pale as I imagine him, having turned pink before he gets out of the sun likely means he will be the color of a cooked lobster by morning… The idea of a sunburned Alex is scary.

Chapter 24:

Having lived in Ft Lauderdale, gateway to the Everglades, and been in the Keys (I have in Key West several times, but not Key Largo) the descriptions are good but confused. The Keys are rocky islands surrounded by salt water and the Everglades a brackish swamp that occupies most of south central Florida with tidal access points along the coast. The main park I know of in Key Largo really unique… it’s underwater… it’s were the old “Flipper” TV series and the battle and other underwater sequences in the James Bond movie Thunderball were filmed. I have would really like to dive there sometime…

I assume taking the walk through the swamp wearing tank tops, shorts and flip-flops was Ryan’s idea; only a city boy from California would do something like that. The only place in the US that has more nasty stuff within a stone’s throw of roads than Florida is Louisiana. With his nearly impenetrable hide, super strength bones and muscles about the only thing Alex would need to worry about is a gator or croc. Ryan on the other hand would be a tasty snack for every creepy crawler and poisonous or thorn studded plant out there.

I totally believe the three Darwin Award candidates with the croc... I’ve seen people fool around with golf course gators in the same way.

I'll see if I can work a little more of that into coming chapters, but nnnrg has a point.

Like Ryan often tells Alex, it's a joke!

You caught me! I've never actually been there.

See above.
As I make this stuff up out of whole cloth, sometimes I just have to take a stab at describing something or someplace I've never experienced. I've been to central Florida several times and I even visited Miami once, so I just projected from there.

Throughout this experience, I've come to realize how endearing and how special Aspies can be, and I really look forward to your comments because they so often make me smile. Thanks.

I'm glad you're here too, Jenpink27, but why is your reply so very short and very generic and why is this your only post to date and why does it contain a link to a site "www.aedlifepower.com/aed-pads.html" which has negative reviews on web-of-trust.com? Would you be trying to lure us into buying something or clicking on a phishing or malware site? Or is it just some sort of questionable-value scam?

The post you were replying to from "jenpink27" was Le Spam?, nnnrg. Most of us are not at all glad to have it here, and as you'll see it's now gone.

When you see such things in the future, if you're willing to take the time, a quick note is always appreciated over in the Spammer Report Thread (just the URL of the page where you saw the problem is enough). That'll attract the attention of the brute squad... and spammer go bye-bye. :-)

I know, I was being le sarcastic I couldn't find the spammer report thread (Chrome was being stupid) so I figured just pointing out that it was spam would keep people from clicking until you guys found it Also, for some reason the thread you linked there doesn't seem to go to a real thread. I see it as http : //www.musclegrowth.org/forum/showthread.php?t=157416 but that goes to a No Such Thread page.
