Ooh! I think I know who's behind all this... All that remains to be seen is whether or not the Russian mobster is a complete fabrication, or if Jason actually went and hired some "muscle" to get the formula...

And, of course, whether or not he'll test it on Court to make sure it's not a fake recipe...

(I'm probably way off, but that's how it's playing out in my mind...)

UGH! I am on the edge of my seat here! This chapter, NO this Series is just amazing! I applaud you for crafting such an amazing and compelling tale. I feel myself completely immersed in this world you created. I wish I had a friend (well maybe more than a friend) like Alex both before and after his transformation.

I second that, umlerian49. I'm beginning to think that Buchannan, Sammy and Lorna Luft are actually blood relatives, and that this is all an elaborate plan to bring Alex down. The House of Luft shall have its revenge, aye!

Remember, my good man, TRILOGIES are all the rage, these days. Aren't they? Hmmm lemme throw some mock-titles in there: "The Wider Prairie Sky", "HUGE New World" "Beneath the Planet of the Apes"....

Hmmm.... Interesting....

The image of Ryan and Alex "Tip-Toe-ing" behind the hedge brought on flashbacks from Full Metal Alchemist of all the scenes of Ed and Al trying to sneak around "unobserved." It hadn't occurred to me until now but (except for Ryan being a bit taller and more muscular than Ed and Al is metallic) as a couple Ryan and Alex could be mistaken for the Elric brothers. And they are just as devoted to each other as the Elrics. I have seen some speculation on Anime and manga forums that there might be more than brotherly affection between them.

Alex should have just used his cell phone to call Ryan. Cordless phones have little if any security cell phones are much harder to listen in on.

I wonder what has been happening between Frank and Sammy and why Sammy is so well informed as to Jason's mental state... He definitely hit a nerve with Frank.

My guess is that Frank found Jason standing on his door step ringing the bell or knocking. I guess 24-48 hours was enough time for him to sort out his marbles enough to find Franks house. If Jason went to Frank rather than home that would seem to support the idea that Jason Dad did throw him out of the house. If Jason is half way coherent now it will be interesting to hear what he has to say.

Right now if the bad guy is one of the regulars, my guess is that it's Sammy. He feels he has been rejected by Alex and now Frank who he reshaped in Alex's image. And he is likely jealous of the intimacy Ryan, Court and Jen have with Alex. And Franks relationship with Jason. But Sammy would know Court has the formula. And I don't think he's orginized enough to pull this off on his own. It makes sense but the pieces don't fit right.

There's a lot of stuff happening here that is strangely familiar, but I don't think I should talk about it right now.

As far as Court getting a mega dose of the grow juice I still think Alex would do anything to kept Court from becoming a freak like he is, to protect him.

I identify with Alex because i understand how he thinks and we are both outsiders because we are a bit odd. But I would like to be Court be "normal" and to have Alex as a friend.
