| Impressive! It says his family's military service goes back at least 96 years to his great grandfather and uncles who served at Gallipoli (Turkey) during WWI! He himself has been posted to Afghanistan 5 or 6 times! He's also very tall and broad and quite functionally muscular -- did everyone notice the video of him walking across a swimming pool while holding a 45 pound plate over his head? I have to google ANZAC day to find out what that is. It may be an Australian version of Veteran's Day (excuse my ignorance!). He also has two very cute blonde haired children shown wrestling on top of his bare chest in one clip. I can totally understand why he's "the face" of this war in Australia. Very inspiring. He has a clear sense of the reasons for being there and he articulates them very well. Good to see someone with a practical use for a big strong body! You go, mate! |
