Niko's real life muscle transformation!!! Hi guys, I've decided to make a new thread for my new life project, which is to become big and jacked at the same time. I've tried to do that several times in the past, but every time, something came up with my health and stopped me from doing so. For those of you who may not know, I had to go to the hospital about 2 months ago because of a cyst that became a systemic infection. My life really was in danger, which is why I got treated and operated immediately. Sadly, I had to recover with an open wound. Now, I feel a lot better and the wound has closed, AT FREAKING LAST, so I decided I would give my real life transformation another try, hoping for the best. Here are my actual stats: Age: 23 years old Height: 5'11" Weight: 255 pounds Chest: 47.5" Waist: 45" (I know, I know...) Arms: 17.5" Neck: 18.5" Thighs: 29" Calves: 18.5" Forearms: 13.5" OBVIOUSLY, I'll try to lose fat while gaining muscle. I haven't been able to train at all in the last few months, since I was recovering and had an open wound, but surprisingly enough, I didn't lose much muscle mass/strength. I won't post before pics, mainly because I hate myself right now, hehehe, but when I'll start seeing results, I'll post some. Wish me good luck guys! Niko |

Hi CelticMuscle, Well, the cyst was located... on my butt crack. It's a very odd place for a wound, which is why it made my life hell and was long to heal. I could barely walk without making the wound bleed after the operation, just to give you an idea. It's called a perianal cyst, I think. As for friends who could assist me, thanks for the offer, but I'll mainly be training at home. I don't have a complete gym, but I have barbells, dumbbells, a bench and a treadmill, hahaha. Anyway, I hope everything will go fine this time. Niko |
| |||
Good luck Niko....it's hard work to make a transformation but it's worth it. |
| |||
Thanks, The Magus. |
| |||
Hey Niko glad to see you're back at it, I will not be starting my bulk till next week so I know your frustration, mine stemmed from not being at the bodyfat I wanted to be at which takes time. I know you can go far so push yourself and you know the keys: diet and working on your mind-muscle connection. I used to think that was not needed but to take your body to the next level work hard on it. |
| |||
Thanks, GTlifter. I'm gonna blast those arms of mine today. |

good to see you around again! quite the ordeal you had to go through, but glad your on the mend now and getting back to business! I'm gonna be cutting myself. Plan to take it nice and slow so I can lose the fat and not sacrifice any muscle. Good luck on getting back to transforming. Beast out! __________________ Grow big. Grow strong. Grow hard. |

Hi Nico, I know what that cyst is like, I had one about 10 years ago (although I wasn't as ill as you). The healing phase is a bitch, you healed quicker than me, I took 6 months! Glad to hear your well and good luck with the project! |
| |||
Thanks Dentistclark. Yeah, the healing phase IS a bitch, hahaha. It pretty much completely healed after 2 months, which felt like an eternity to me, lol. I can't imagine going through that for 6 months!!! :O I guess I'm lucky, lol, since I heal very very fast. I swear, I get a cut and in like 2 days it disappears, sometimes even faster. |
| |||
Hi guys, I worked on my arms today. I started easy with a few sets of 10-12 reps of hammer curls with 45 pounds dumbbells and bench dips. It was so good to feel the blood pumping in my arms! I really missed that feeling. Let's hope I won't be a wreck tomorrow. Niko |

i been plagued with medical problems lately too but i look forward to lifting when i can it gets me through the harder times |

Hey guys, Here is a short video of me destroying an apple. It was taken about 2 years ago and I was about 60 pounds lighter than I am now. (I was around 195 lbs) http://www.flickr.com/photos/50710715@N06/5491944986/ You may or may not have seen it before in my old thread. By the way, none of the old pics and vids exist anymore, so all the pics and vids will be in this new thread. Thanks and enjoy, Niko |

Good luck with your transformation! Love to hear enthusiasm like that! I've been back at it for a couple of months and the best advice I can give is watch your diet. Don't be so much worried about too many calories, but focus on getting enough protein and carbs to grow muscle and fuel the whole transformation. Judging by the way my clothes fit, I haven't lost any fat on this plan, but shirts are tighter though the chest, shoulders, and arms, NOT the waist. I'll take that as sign of progress. So I would suggest that you plan a diet, watch results for a while and then adjust it accordingly, but EAT! bulkybud |
| |||
Thanks, bulkybud! You know, in the past, I made the mistake of dieting by not eating enough. I did lose 40 pounds in the process, and some of it was fat, but I'd say that most of it was muscle mass. I'm not going to make that mistake again. So right now, I'm doing exactly what you said: I don't care about calories and I eat lots of protein and enough carbs while training hard. Take care, Niko |

Firstly: Hey, hojo, you are right, we have a lot of stats in common, but damn, you are a great deal taller than me! You must have a crazy beast potential with that height! If you want to post your new stats on every monday here like I will, it's fine with me! Secondly: Admin, could you remove that horrible spam post please? I hate it when spammers, in this case some guy named Wang Jun, hijack your posts like that! Aaaargh! Niko |

Nice!! Can't wait to see pics! |
| |||
Ohme123, I should post pics soon, as soon as my muscle memory wakes up, hahaha. |

Hi guys, It's kinda funny, but since I started working out again, I seem to be putting on weight, lol. I'm not saying I'm putting on fat, but I seem to be getting heavier, lol. Take care, Niko |

Hi guys, Here is my 1st weekly update! It was a tough week, especially since my body isn't used to harsh muscle training anymore, hahaha, but I already made some progress! Here are my stats after 1 week of training. Age: 23 years old (same) Height: 5'11" (same) Weight: 255 pounds (same) Chest: 48" (0.5" increase) Waist: 43.5" (1.5" down) Arms: 17 and 7/8th" (3/8th" increase) Neck: 18.75" (.25" increase) Thighs: 29" (same) Calves: 18.5" (same) Forearms: 13 and 5/8th" (1/8th" increase) So yeah, I definitely made some progress, and I'll keep a weekly update of my stats. Take care guys and have a nice week! Niko |

Hi guys, As you probably know, I just healed from a perianal cyst and the operation. And I fear that another appeared just to ruin my life. I'm not gonna wait like last time and will go see a doctor tomorrow first thing in the morning. God, I hope it's just some very deep in-skin pimple or something. |
| |||
Dude if it's coming back it has to be what you're taking in to bulk in my mind. I know mine was from a lot of greasy foods at one point or it could be the same one not healed all the way. I hope it's neither |
| |||
Hey GTlifter, In fact, I wasn't eating greasy at all! And the cyst didn't come back; it's another one completely! How unlucky can one get?!?!? Anyway, I'm going to the doctor tomorrow; I'll keep you up to date if I don't go straight to the hospital like last time, lol... |
| |||
I hope it's nothing niko, but you're making the right decision. Better to nip it in the bud (<- bad almost-pun, sorry) now....and with luck even if it is a return, your recovery will be shorter if you get it early enough. Good luck! |
| |||
Thanks. Actually, the whole cyst (or whatever that mass is) is around the size of a marble, like the ones we played with as kids. Not the big ones, the normal kinda small ones. The last cyst was the size of a ping pong ball when I went to the doctor. So hopefully, I won't have to go to the hospital this time. I HATE HOSPITALS. |

Hi guys, I just came back from the doctor. Here are the results: - I have some kind of abcess/cyst in the making. The doctor could not operate right away, since there is just some kind of bump, and nothing inside yet. So he gave me a topical antibiotic. - I'm gonna have to go pass blood/urinal/fecal tests. - The hospital is gonna call me soon for a colonoscopy. - Finally, if the abcess/cyst gets infected, I have some paper to get immediately treated at the hospital. So yeah, nothing to make me happy, but at least I know what it is and the doctor told me that if I'm lucky, the cream could be more than enough to "kill" it. So I'm gonna make a pause in my transformation. I have to keep the zone of the cyst dry, so sweating is not recommended. And what do I do when I train? Yep, I sweat. Anyway, take care guys! Niko |
| |||
Sorry about the transformation pause man but glad it is caught so early the general stuff may kill it. Good luck |
| |||
Yeah, hopefully, the antibiotic cream will kill it. Gosh I hope it does. I don't want to go back to the hospital. |

Well since Niko is on hiatus and the growth must keep going. I started my bulk last Saturday. I guess I could do a weekly update unless Niko doesn't want me to in here instead of starting a new post. It will be minor notes here and there. I need to up my cardio a bit don't want my gains getting sloppy starting at 245 around 12.8% bodyfat most would said not high but I want to compete near the end of the year beginning of next year so way high. On this bulk I hope to not get above 15 to 16 percent and then slow cut my bodyfat in half from where I start at. My goal is 280. Right now I am up to 256 a bit of water weight from creatine and just increasing my calories a bunch. Not on my full diet yet but still got to keep these gains lean. Happy Bulking Season!!! Hi guys, A little update on my case. I've been using Bactroban for 6 days on the cyst/abscess/whatever it is, and it isn't red anymore. Still not painful, still no whitehead, and it seems to me the bump is smaller. But it definitely is still there. I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow. I had to get blood and urine samples done last thursday, and I should get the results with him tomorrow. If it's no big deal, I'd like him to give me a freaking local anasthesia and operate right away, since it doesn't look infected anymore, lol. In the meantime, I bought a standing desk and I'm doing all my office work while standing up. I don't know for sure if being sitting all day can cause those cysts/abscesses to appear, but I'm not taking any chance. So far, it's pretty hard to be standing for so long, but I'll get used to it. Anyway, take care guys, don't sit for too long, and I'll give you an update tomorrow if I can. Niko |
