Conflict of schedule. Not surprising at all. Game of Thrones has so many characters, and his was a very minor one with little screen time, basically no lines beside some grunts and screams (notably when he fights his brother at the beginning of season 1). It's too bad, because his character was finally about to get some screen time. But his move was a smart one as far as I'm concerned and the change of character shouldn't be very noticeable since Gregor has so very little importance (in terms of screen time) up to this point. Most of what he does is reported by other characters, even in the books. |
