| My Brother Nick: Journal Entry 4: 2/12/2002 [ My Brother Nick: Journal Entry 1: 10/12/2001 ] [ My Brother Nick: Journal Entry 2: 11/08/2001 ] [ My Brother Nick: Journal Entry 3: 11/29/2001 ] My Brother Nick: Journal Entry 4: 2/12/2002 Oops, it's been a while since my last entry. It's been pretty hectic around the house because of Christmas and New Year's and all that, and I hate having to deal with damn finals. This also has to be a quick entry because we're about to go out clothes shopping. We have to get Nick some new clothes because he's grown so much in the past 3 or 4 months! My parents hadn't even really noticed, but we measured him yesterday and Nick is now 5'10.5"! He's 4 inches taller than me! (I've actually grown about a half inch myself, but that's nothing to be proud of when Nick is your younger brother. We have to get him new shoes too because his feet have grown from size 8 to size 10... his feet are bigger than mine now! He's been wearing my size 9.5 shoes but those are too small now too. After my parents and I measured my brother's height yesterday, he wanted to compare biceps again. We hadn't officially measured them since my first journal entry in October. His arms have grown an inch -- they're just under 15" now! Mine grew about a quarter of an inch to 10.75" but they look absolutely tiny compared to his. The main reason I'm writing this entry right now is because Nick just asked to talk to me privately. He called me into my room a little while ago. "I feel kind of weird because I've been growing so much. It's so fast!" He said, and his eyes looked concerned. "I know, Nick. You're growing really fast. You've been bigger than me for a long time and you're growing faster than most people even my age." I slowly rubbed his back to try to calm him down, but still he frowned. "Mike... I..." Nick's head dropped and he didn't finish his sentence. Dammit, why is he sad again, I thought. "Nick, what is it? You can tell me." "Well... I don't know if you're okay with talking about this but... something else has been growing really fast too, and --" "Nick! Can you come down here and help us with the groceries?" My mom shouted up the stairs Oh great, Mom, nice timing. But I got the idea of what he was talking about when he looked down at the crotch area in my jeans. It also was kind of insulting that my mom didn't even ask for my help any more, since Nick is so much stronger than I am. "Go ahead. Want to talk tonight?" I asked him as I looked into his blue-grey eyes. "Yes!" and he smiled as I asked him. He ran out of our room and down the stairs excitedly. Hopefully, we'll talk tonight and I'll write another entry tomorrow.     |

| Hehe... Nick is becoming a big boy! I just love the relationship between them, and the way they get along and totally trust each other.
