Here are some Before & After comparisons I put together of Fouad Abiad.

On PhotoBucket I added tags to the images but they don't work here. (Tags are a feature where, if you scroll over certain parts of an image a comment will pop up pointing out something of particular interest within the picture.) If anyone knows how to get them to work on the forum, please let me know. Thanks.

Dirk Steel, when did Fouad start calling himself 'Hoss'? I just googled it and see it's on his blog and MySpace.

Amazed, I totally love your assessment. As Paris Hilton (aka Wonky McValtrex http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Why_is_Paris_Hilton_called_Wonky_McValtrex) would say: "That's hot!"

Also, any requests for certain before & after bodybuilder comparisons are welcome. Let me know and I will see what I can do.

Sorry, but I vote for the "before" pics. He just looked much better then. And as another member pointed out, the new haircut is just hideous. It's really too bad, because you can tell from the earlier pics that he's an extremely handsome young man.

You don't have to apologize for voicing your opinion musqlure. I'm interested in hearing what people have to say and what their tastes are. If we joined the forum we must love muscle, but each of us in different ways. Over the years I've discovered my lust for muscle has contradictions in it. And this is one way to explore them.

I added the poll because I thought it would be a fun gauge of preferences. I definitely have things that push my buttons (the right way and the wrong way and sometimes both at once). It's nice to get validation on what I like when it comes to muscularity, but it's also good to hear different takes.

To be totally honest, I have parts of me that agree with all 4 judgments in the poll. Bodybuilders inhabit a space where the extremes of fantasy collide with the quotidian world. That's powerful and I don't think it's something anyone is indifferent to. When people see a bodybuilder of any shape or size they have a gut reaction, it catches the eye and the emotions, which can run anywhere from 'ewww' to 'ahhh' to 'mmmm.' Whatever the feeling, behind it is the jumble of our personalities, founded with the molten of genetics, environment, and experience. At some point our personalities may be set in stone, but new facets can always be discovered or even created.

When I started this response I didn't intend to be so ponderous, it just happenend... damn you muscle!

I like the muscle mass in the after pics, but I prefer the haircut of the before pics. Much more natural. I'd also like to see pics of him in the off-season, or wearing a tight shirt, the guy is so handsome if I see him in person I might faint!

I agree that he is much more aesthetic in the "before" pix (which, btw, would serve me and 90% of the male population as our "hoped-for' endpoint in bbing!)
but his AFTER shots, esp. the >300# shot from Arpeejay, just blows me away!


So, for an "appreciative" reaction, I pick "Before"

For an "OMFG" reaction, I pick after.

In either case, LOSE the MOHAWK!~ That's the "Eww" reaction!!

Actually, I wish I could get my body fat so low that my face looked "abnormal" - I think that would be really cool, myself. Because it would be evidence of just how ripped and muscular I would be.

FWIW, I voted for the "Keep Growing More Massive" option, myself.

I have to admit, I would be happy to look like the before shots, but I'd be even happier to look like the after shots.

That... won't be possible, and trust me you're GLAD.

If PhotoBucket tags could be passed through, that'd mean that posters are able to add miscellaneous JavaScript (and OFF-SITE! JavaScript) to their postings here... and trust me, less-than-savory elements of the Great Spammer Empire would immediately turn your browsing experience here into a nightmare ad-fest of billboards, popups, and attention-hijacking commercial content that would make Times Square look like Amish country.

(Yes, in theory the site could enter into an arrangement with certain sites/utilities like PhotoBucket or a "tags plugin" to pass checked code through only from approved and user-authorized application code -- that's the FaceBook (and others) model of enhanced application support. This site, and in general the phpBB forum software it uses, aren't at that level of sophistication though. Pony up a few million (US$) in venture capital, that could change. <EG>)

Love the last comparison. Massive bulked out roid beast - just wanna see him get bigger. His humongous quads must roll around each other as he muscle struts down the street - bumpin' people outta his way. I've often wondered about that- what's up the bodybuilders and Mohawks? Like their massive bodies don't make people notice them enough that they have to get bad 1950's haircuts?

I hate it too, but really the mohawk's pretty tame. At least it's not Phil von Kanel's "I'm auditioning to play a G. I. Well, once you've built yourself into a 300 pound mass of muscle, what's left? You don't want to do 'tats (Sorry Lee Priest) because you get marked down for them in competition. You can't do much with a regulation posing suit (gold lame IS a bit much, and they don't allow G-strings) so the only thing left is hair!

What about the ZZ-top two-foot long beard, coupled with "Carrot-Top" style red curly hair and a waxed mustache?

It would be a "look"!

Might make Kai Greene look "tame" and "bland"!
