| Couple of those are from the "Polite Spammer" who always appologizes for being in the wrong forum. Seems like it would be easy for a web guru to design a filter looking for his signature words "sorry", "forum", etc. Now he(or his bot) are confident (or dumb) enough to start hawking cars instead of steroids.  |

| Another 10 weeks, another 97 new posting members (remaining), another [COLOR="Red"]fifty-one[/COLOR] bans in the sweep. Ho-hum. I did catch one instance where the spambots were actually talking to each other. (Well, not a conversation, but one actually crafted a fake-topical response... to some previous spam!) So that was entertaining, for several whole nanoseconds. Oh, and two of them tried to be all suuupa-stealthy — they posted vague, non-spammy messages, only like a sentence long, that didn't have any spam links visible in them. But, the offsite commercial links were lurking in the user profile. (Which seems really pointless, to me... I mean, who goes looking at the profile of the new member that left a meaningless one-sentence reply to some thread, except someone who's hunting the elusive Canned Meat Product?  ) |

| I have to say that petedick was a good one. The bots are getting smarter because a few of them actually attempt conversations. There have been a few instances when I actually have to ask them if they are a real person or not. One of them turned out to be some girl because I thought she was a bot and asked a nasty question.
