This is getting ridiculous, and frustrating. I used to love coming here but it's time to just stop coming here period.

I spend the first 15 minutes here just sorting through and reporting SPAM posts. And I'm not even sure anybody pays attention to the reports.

This site used to be a safe fetish site but has been making turns toward the porn road. Both with some of the user posts and some of the automated spam. And what the hell is all this spam for Chinese knockoff crap? I'd much rather pay for some quality fetish stories than a free front lobby for porn.

Other sites seem able to stay on top of their spam. Why can't this one? I suggest that the site goes to a pay & moderated service so that they can afford to get modern software tools capable of handling this invasion.

I appreciate the fact that this site has been around for so long but it's changed a lot. I'm not sure if it's worth recommending anymore.

Gene, I understand how annoying spam posts are, but you're making at least two different arguments there: 1) "I can't stand this place because there's too much spam," and 2) "This place has gone down hill because it's all just porn." First, yes there is a lot of spam right now, but that happens on a lot of forums. It's the nature of the internet. Second, I don't quite understand the distinction you're making between fetish and porn. This site exists because we're all turned on by muscle growth, and because we're all turned on by muscle growth, there is bound to be porn. Maybe the link between fetish, sex, and porn doesn't account for the amount of porn that you perceive as too much, but it's a factor. Also, if you're concerned about no one paying attention to your spam reports, it might help if you posted them here. Your last post on this thread was 6 months ago, and in it (like your post today) you complained about the level of spam and threatened to leave without directing anyone to the spam accounts or their posts. We might come up with a better/faster solution if we all contribute to trying to fix the problem instead of saying, "fleXodus, fix this or I'm leaving." Just a few thoughts.

...To everyone else, apologies. We're in the middle of a serious spam shitstorm right now. I haven't seen quite this sort of pattern before.

You've probably seen those long gibberish or near-gibberish spam posts cropping up everywhere, and each time I whack one of those the spam tool reports that it's cleaning out 41, 76, 103 posts from that one newly-registered user! So, it's a LOT of spam, but (fortunately) from not too many sources, and as we knock them off the resulting cleanup will reach quite a few threads all at once.

Aaanyway, I'm dumping all of the ones I spot as I wander the site, but I don't visit every thread and pointers to more are always appreciated. You even have my blessing to be a little bitchy about the spam (dog knows I certainly get pissy, wading through enough of it! ? see above), as long as you're also HELPING!

Unfortunately, while that button absolutely works, it sends a report only to the site administrators. (Not sure exactly who, fleXodus at a minimum.) That isn't nearly everyone who has spam-patrol ("Ban & Clean") privileges. So, using this thread is likely to get a quicker response, since there are more eyes watching and somebody's likely to see your report sooner.

Or, ("hopefully"?) the user will wander into our crosshairs by posting something.
