The Southern Werewolf III

I'm considering publishing this series, so I'm afraid I have to remove it. Sorry!

HOLY WOW! SS, I could barely get through this story without losing my load half a dozen times. You really know how to explain everything and makes me long to be involved with these guys. (Yes, I am definitely into the furries! )

There is nothing better than muscle, fur, and sex!

I'm not sure the quick POV-shifts and breaks in the narrative were really the best stylistic choice; they made the chapter feel disjointed, more like a montage than a continuous narrative. Just as you're getting into one scene, you're thrust into a completely unrelated scene, and when you finally come back to the characters from the first scene they might be doing something entirely different from what they were doing when you left, with no clear indication of how much time has passed. While it seems to have worked for muscleboi and raven, it definitely didn't work for me.

Except for the post-abduction/rape scenes with Graham--there the jumping around enhances the atmosphere by creating the feeling that Graham's so traumatized that he's blacking out and incapable of coherent thought, which really fits the story.

Generitrans, I think SS is trying to set the story up as episodes similar to a TV series like a soap opera or telenovela with the scenes jumping backing and forth to the different characters. While it is distracting, SS's ability to describe everything is pretty amazing and I can visualize what is going on as I'm reading it. To me, that is tremendous writing!

These are all very good points that I need to observe. Even if Raven found the story more enjoyable, he does point out that the shifts in POV are "distracting," so I clearly need to do more to indicate how each segment fits on the timeline, particularly when I'm juggling this many characters.

Thanks for the critique! I hope my next episode proves more successful.

Graham is now the most exciting character in the story. I can't wait to read part four, but take your time Suitor. We know good things come to those who wait!

Really loving this story so far. Your detail is amazing. I can't wait to see where it grows from here.

Looking forward to Walt introducing Ralph to Beau. Hopefully Beau is extremely accepting of the newly grown and transformed Ralph and all three have the chance to spend some heated, lustful, wild sessions together.

I think it's weird that I don't have a fetish for suits or werewolves, but I still totally love these stories.

Well, regardless, I'm very pleased that y'all are liking it so far. Thank you for all the complements, everyone. Reading over them never gets old.

I'm thinking that the next episode will focus just on Clint, Graham, and Jenny, that way I don't end up having to juggle as many plotlines as I did this time around. The Beau-Walt-Ralph plotline can be picked up again afterward. Limiting my focus in each episode might help the cut-scenes flow a little better.

Arrroooo!

I thoroughly enjoyed this latest episode. I especially compliment you on your continuity of plot by keeping us attuned to the various action scenes occurring concurrently for the most part. Even though a bit disjointed at first, I came to expect updates at regular intervals of action elsewhere. Fantastic character development. Also, being raised middle class, I find your examples of the elite wardrobe names to be quite interesting and informative while at the same time quite disgustingly aloof. It adds to the fascinating counterbalance between the elitism and bestiality. I'm really looking forward to your next installment!

Mdlftr will become famous soon enough
SS,
Highest compliments to you on yet ANOTHER amazing installment in this riveting series. The quick cuts between characters remind me of "Game of Thrones" by George R.R. Martin, which I'm ploughing through right now. You are managing to make each character more than just a name or a set of attributes.

I especially enjoy your evocation of the senses of smell and taste through the vivid descriptions of the experiences of the transformed werewolves: mud, sex, prey, cologne, cleaning fluid, etc.

I don't know how you find the time to do it, but it's amazing, impressive and much appreciated!

Thank you,

Mdlftr

I write a little each day, and often end up starting multiple scenes at once, building them simultaneously as I go along. Whenever I complete the final version, I go back through and end up deleting many of the details I pile in, since they get repetitive after a while.

And yes, the quick-cut technique owes a great deal to "Game of Thrones!"

Precisely what I'm going for, sir! I try not to drop too many brand names, since that gets distracting. (But it does allow the more curious readers to google articles of clothing that I mention throughout.)

Thanks again for the complements! I'm slowly working on the next installment as we speak.

I'm sorry what? I'm a fan of constructive criticism but considering I didn't tell Cicero, Vergil, Tolstoy or Dostovyevsky to cut out all that exposition and get to it and people still fawn over those tales of woe and desperation...you write anyway you want to. People either enjoy it or not. I'm reading the manifesto of a nutcase now not because I'm salivating over it but because I'm trying to understand the insanity <an oxymoron if ever> I happen to like split scenes...means I get a lot more prose from you :-) In the end that's all I care about...more prose from you!!!
