Two things? Has anyone figured out how a trainer's MI is calculated? I'm sure it's a conversion of one's rank and experience, but there's no clear mathematical correlation and no explanation in the help. and Has anyone been able to change their figure's pose or color? I can change eyes, hair and accessories, but not the pose or skin tone of my bodybuilder 'avatar'. Guy Zana said I could when I reached level 9 or 10 but still not seeing it. |
| |||
When I reached level 9 (I think), the pose changed. I didn't do it. xoxo Richard |

At least this has always held true for my trainer (he's currently 406 and I get a 16.24% boost) and for the trainers' ads I've checked it against. |
| |||
You're right! Geez, talk about complicating what should be a very simple thing! I really was only wondering to determine if I was underpricing myself in the marketing section. I let my existing trainees continue at the rate they are paying but upped my price for new trainees as the trainer's experience apparently boosts the speed of the trainee's gains. |
| |||
I'm keeping my price the same, gosh dang darn it! "Muscles for the Masses!" xoxo Richard |

:O That means that my MI is almost 20%!! I'm undercharging!! I'm too lazy to browse the entire thread, just add me . I think I've got this game figured out: Each day you get a number of fame points based on the number of friends you have - I think it's 1 fame point per 5 friends The higher your trainer's experience, the greater the MI or Mass Increase you experience as one of the trainees (although I cannot tell how impactful this is as I have exceeded my trainer) - as discussed earlier the ratio of experience to MI is .04 You acquire approximately 2000 calories each day at a rate of about 84 calories per hour, however it takes 3360 calories to complete all the exercises every day - therefore in order to be able to complete every exercise every day you will need 20 fame points which will allow you to renew your calories to 2000... AFTER you've used the existing calories because it will only peak out at 2000 calories regardless. You can also purchase energy drinks and mass increases which takes money, so read on. You earn money by having trainees who pay you money for your MI and/or taking jobs which pay in exchange for your calories. In pricing yourself as a trainer, my tactis has been to start out at a low, low price and attract several loyal trainees, then as my experience has grown I've made those ads invisible and bought new ads at higher prices. I think if you cancel the ad you also lose those loyal original trainees. In taking jobs for pay, some are more attractive than others, so make sure the calories-for-cash exchange rate is favorable. If you cannot perform every workout every day, try to focus on upper body, especially arms - then you can improve your chances of winning at arm-wrestling. Arm-wrestling takes 50 calories and in exchange wins earn you one fame point each. Be careful though because some of the rewards are locked until you reach a specific level and each level reached is a measure of ALL bodyparts, so too much focus on arms only can hinder your reward options. If you have a few leftover calories with nothing to do with them, you can return to the gym and click on a link that offers you jump rope for an experience point. Alternatively, you can keep the calories which will accumulate in the next hour. The choice is yours. The only thing I haven't tried yet is the fight challenges - quite frankly they seem oddly constructed where you have to preplan all your strikes before the match. On the other hand, you can earn big money and fame both in the matches and also betting on others' matches! That's about the gist of it! Rumor also has it that days without a visit to the game will result in loss of mass, but I've been pretty diligent at it for about a month and gaining pretty quickly - so let's grow together! |
| |||
Accurate summation, G2J. I have 94 friends playing the game, so I just scored 19 fame points. Oh, and: If you manage to have 75 FAME points accumulated, you can almost go through everything twice in the same day! :-) Or you could if the frickin' frackin' Facebook interface would actually dispaly the ap! xoxo Richard |
| |||
PS: The rumor is true. I didn't play for about a week while we were in the Caribbean. I lost 0.25 kg in mass and dropped from the mid 50s (overall rank) to 250. R (now, finally, back in the mid 50s...) |
| |||
On that note, one thing I have noticed is that even though the game 'resets' at 1am EST it's best not to try to play for an hour or two during that time. My guess is that it's running all the recycle processes and therefore the game usually won't load at all until well after 2am. Any other times when it won't load may be traffic volume or just app problems. |

anyone else get this error: Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'FacebookRestClientException' with message 'Session key invalid or no longer valid' in /home/vhosts/guy/www/bbw/core/fblib/facebookapi_php5_restlib.php:3094 Stack trace: #0 /home/vhosts/guy/www/bbw/core/fblib/facebookapi_php5_restlib.php(994): FacebookRestClient->call_method('facebook.fql.qu...', Array) #1 /home/vhosts/guy/www/bbw/index.php(26): FacebookRestClient->fql_query('SELECT uid FROM...') #2 {main} thrown in /home/vhosts/guy/www/bbw/core/fblib/facebookapi_php5_restlib.php on line 3094 i get it every time and on the rare instance i dont the game does not load at all; i cant pay my trainer, work, or buy stuff. to be honest im getting pissed off and thinking of quitting |

Nutzy: Do you have any trainees? One trick I've learned: Go to your Facebook notifications section and find a BBW notification that involves someone paying you and click on the "manage your trainees" link; sometimes going around the main page helps. But, yeah, in general the FB / BBW interface seems pretty effed up. The problems I've had seem to happen at anytime during the day (although 1-2 a.m. EST is when it's usually the crappiest...) xoxo Richard |
| |||
i dont have any trainees, and until the problem gets fixed i will be holding off on accepting any it happens all the time not just at night Last edited by nutzy2222; December 23rd, 2009 at 08:46 PM. |

IT WORKS finally it works again |
| |||
I'm glad it's working for you again... BYW, I've climbed to # 67 in the ranks - how is everyone else doing so far? |
| |||
98.17 kg 749 experience points Rank 42 Which considering I'd fallen to Rank 250 while I was on vacation I think is probably pretty good progress! If it just worked that way in real life! :-) xoxo Richard |
| |||
Currently at level 9 and at rank #688... Still, how I wish I can grow as fast as my avatar is. Heck, my bodyweight remained roughly the same for over 6 months now! Although I'm sure I somehow building muscle and losing fat while literally maintain the weight. |
| |||
Looking for trainees... It is hard to find trainees when everyone wants to be the trainer. However, the more trainees you have the better the MI percentage everyone has to build muscle faster... So if you would like to be a trainee, send me a message. Currently, I am ranked 350 with 89.25 kg of muscle and I have only played the game for 1 1/2 months. Also, I have kept pictures of my progress and eventually would like to post them or even try to make a video with them. |
| |||
The trick is that everyone has to have a trainer listing AND everyone has to be paying a trainer. The best one can hope for is a trainer with as much experience as possible at the lowest possible price. I am actually more experienced than my trainer but he is the cheapest one in the +20 range. I also search by experience for anyone who is my experience level or higher (currently only 12) and see what they are charging in case I might be able to catch someone more experienced for less... but alas all of them want thousands of dollars for their experience! |
| |||
Level 16 777 experience points $99 Presumably more trainee slots become available as you gain more experience etc. xoxo Richard |
| |||
Finally hit level 14.... took forever >_> and in the process lost most of my trainees(for some apparent reason).... |
| |||
Got to Level 3 the other day. my avatar actually looks like he gained a bit of mass, eheh. might reach level 4 in a few days, who knows! __________________ Bigger + Stronger = Better! 3XL= Way too small |

For those not playing but interested in doing so, there are three body types per gender. I *think* only the head is more customizable than that. Anyway, each body type has a different pose and skin tone. The pose changes around level 8 when your avatar looks more like a real bodybuilder. My avatar, I think, is the most popular body type (white bread male). And here he is. If only it were possible in real life to make that much progress in four weeks Make your own animation |
| |||
For a limited time... I have re-instated my $49 training fee so you can get bigger for less money. Based on my current experience level I've been charging $250 which is still half of what anyone else at my level is charging. I sent this offer first to my loyal trainees as an additional incentive for them to stay with me but I also wanted to extend it to my friends here on the MG forum. If you cannot search the trainers by price ($49) then try also searching the experience in the range of 750-850. I'm only going to leave this low priced training ad listed for a limited time, so please act quickly to avoid missing out! |
| |||
Of course, part of the trick is getting out of a training contract. I'm not sure what algorithm they use. I had one trainer who didn't log in for days in a row so they wouldn't let me use him; when I ended the contract, it ended immediately. A couple of other times, including today, I get a "removal scheduled" message; until the removal actually happens, I can't add a new trainer. And by the time I can do so, you'll probably be booked. << rolls eyes >> Thanks for the offer, even so. xoxo Richard |
| |||
I think I have that one figured out too - if the trainer doesn't log in for a number of days then his/her trainees get orphaned and have to find a more active trainer. On the other hand, if you've already paid a trainer on one day and then want to choose a new trainer, in order to avoid double-paying on that day it won't actually switch you to the new trainer until 1AM at which time your old contract ends and the new one begins. For that reason, unlike my last promotion which was only 12 hours, this one I'm going to leave open for at least 24 hours to give people time to get out of their former trainer contracts. If you have a message that removal is scheduled, you should be fine tomorrow after the 1AM reset and cleanup process. |
