How are we doing? For my part, I'm up to # 45 in the rankings and averaging 6 of my 8 trainees paying daily. One of the best bonuses/rewards is the +15 mass gain - I jumped an entire level in one day!

So it would seem that there is a plateau effect even in virtual bodybuilding! Maybe we need to introduce the game designer to this forum in order that he should gain some perspective on how far muscle development could go!

I'm ranked 40th this morning. I think there are two factors to climbing the ranks:

1. Play every day - since everyone is growing, any day you miss you get passed up by more consistent players

2. Don't underestimate Fame points - even if you don't want to recruit your current friends, make friends with those already playing... this will win you more fame points every day and 20 fame points a day buys you enough calories to complete every exercise every day along with the calories that accrue throughout the day. Another easy way to win more fame points is arm-wrestling your friends, especially if you have at least 50 calories but not enough to complete another exercise within the next hour.

I have THE BEST trainees on Bodybuilderz Wars! I was trying to eliminate one of my ads and offered them lower priced training, but they didn't want it! When I was finally down to just one, he moved and I was able to unlist the ad in order to offer a higher priced ad when I can take on another trainee. In the meantime, I have every trainee paying every day!

This leads me to one other tip I should point out to you trainers - keep an eye on your trainees and if you see one who is not paying that means they're not playing either and in the long run they are tying up one of your valuable training slots so give them a nudge and then drop them if they don't get with the program! My rule of thumb is 10 days but you do what you have to do to keep going strong!

I've reached level 20 and ranked #35 - I also just crossed 1100 experience points which has opened up another trainee spot... but they go so quickly!

started the game a bit ago when someone talked me into getting face book. only a level 6 but working on it...it is kinda disheartening that on the rankings i am a higher level than the people around me and weigh more yet they are above me due to having more exp. Oh well.

Yes, I'm not sure how the rankings are calculated but it must be some combination of the player's level, weight and experience, and maybe also the number of trainees compared to their trainee capacity. I outweigh several players above me and still I can only figure there is some variable I'm just not seeing yet. On the plus side, I've managed to keep fairly full on trainees who are faithful in playing (therefore paying me) every day and as I said above this is actually one of the under-utilized aspects of the game. No matter how much you decide to charge and whether people think you are worth the fee, having reliable lower-paying trainees is far better than unreliable higher-fee trainees who may also leave quickly if they find a better deal.

On that note, I also wanted to give a shout out to arpeejay. It wasn't easy to decide to leave him as my trainer, but we are too closely ranked and I wasn't seeing any more gains. It seems that your trainer does have to be substantially more experienced in order for his/her experience to benefit you. If you rely on the reward gains and such you still don't see really good results until you have a trainer whose higher MI multiplies your efforts. I had to pay a whole lot more to get a higher ranked trainer but my gains are already pretty evident in just one day.

Now if I only knew this much about getting huge in real life... LOL
