Thanks for the feedback, fellas. I've placed a new ad; we'll see if anyone bites if / when a current trainee decides to depart. xoxo Richard |
| |||
It's tough in the top 20! Arpeejay and I keep jostling for #17 and 18 but making any progress up the rankings is tough at this level. |
| |||
That's for damn sure! xoxo Richard |
| |||
A quick question. Is there an upper limit on how big the image of your alterego can get. Or is it possible to see a 500lb 6'5" representation at some point? |
| |||
Malack: I think the images pretty much stop changing after 100KG. xoxo Richard |
| |||
Yup, looking at the top dog and myself there's not much more the image/avatar can pack on, it just becomes a numbers game. |
| |||
I'm going to have to step it up, arpeejay is ahead of me in sheer experience points even though I outweigh him and am one level above him. Time to hit that gym twice a day, huh? |
| |||
Fellow players: Did our daily bonus fame points disappear today? I didn't get mine. A glitch in the game or does it happen when you reach a certain level? xoox Richard |
| |||
I think there was a glitch today but I'm not too sure it's not Facebook... it's been sucking royally all day today. |
| |||
Thanks for the update, G2J! Hopefully it will resolve itself! :-) xoxo Richard |
| |||
I haven't got mine in two days |
| |||
Yup, day two and no bonus fame points. |
| |||
stop getting free armwrestling wins off me! you know who you are! |
| |||
@ Plaindude: There are two reasons to have a large number of friends playing BBW: (1) You accrue daily bonus points based on the number of friends you have (or, you did until yesterday; now the app seems to be broken.) (2) You can armwrestle anyone at a lower level than you are and have a better than 50-50 chance of scoring another point -- without the other person suffering any penalty or setback. In my book, that's a win-win situation! xoxo Richard |

QUESTION About Poses. How does one get to change the pose your FB Bodybuilder wars Avatar? Is it a level thing, or a function I'm unaware of? Thanks |
| |||
When you get to a certain size, you automatically change your pose. You can't control it and it's dependant on which avatar you picked at the beginning. |
| |||
i just went to pay my trainer, and it counted as paid (i could do my routine) but none of my money was lost |
| |||
Cool. . I guess I have something to look forward to after level 10 then. |
| |||
We've been asking that for a while. It is determined by your level but after a while they cycle through the same poses over and over again. At one point it was requested of the developer that players can simply pick their own pose and keep it. |

I've clawed my way to #14 in the rankings with Arpeepay nipping at my heels every step of the way! I've bought every mass gainer there is but I'm still quite convinced that the advancement of one's trainer is the best factor for mass gain. At this level there are only 4 trainers available who have more experience than I do and three of them are in the $4,000 a day price range. Settling for a $700 deal I have is slowing my gains. I just wanted to reiterate how important it is to buy the highest experienced trainer you can affort. |
| |||
Just dropped my trainer fees to $5 and BAM!!! 5 trainess for me today and a boost to #544! And I also very content with MY current trainer; $40 for a 1902 exp trainer. Let's see how fast I can climb the ranks... |
| |||
Okay, I am on the verge of breaking into the top 10 IN THE GAME and arpeejay is dogging me the whole way! I don't need the money but I do need the fame points to unlock exercises and gain mass. I'm letting those of you here who are playing know that I am going to re-introduce my $49 training fee for a limited time! You won't find anyone in the top 10 for less than $700 and I want to get you in on the ground level! MY trainer is the #1 player in the game so I'm getting the best possible gains and I want to pass those on to you as well. |
| |||
geek2jock what is your screen name in face book, im just trying figure out who i have for 49$ |
| |||
I don't usually post me personal information on the public forum, but if you'e looking for me to be your trainer you can search for the $49 price or for any trainer with an MI above 2100. |
| |||
One effective strategy in BBW is to have as many "friends" play it as possible. For every 5 friends, you get a daily Fame point bonus. That's very handy when you have more than 100 "friends" playing the game. Last edited by arpeejay; March 30th, 2010 at 02:14 PM. |

I'm pretty sure I'm over a thousand! I think the limit is 5000... |
| |||
I know lol just giving you a hard time. I barely have 188 so maybe I'm a tad jealous . |
| |||
I've reached #10 in the rankings! Well, for the interim, it's a tough climb since #20, at this level everyone's pretty dedicated... much like real life bodybuilding! |
| |||
#9! Well, this morning after a workout... just means now-#10 probably hasn't worked out yet and we'll swap back after that. I also just crossed another 100 experience points so a new training space should be available on my team... and I've still got my ultra-low $49 training fee out there for another day or two. |
| |||
I had a very strange interaction today over one of the topics posted in the fan group. I don't know if I offended someone or what, but man what a firestorm! Sheesh! |
| |||
I noticed that. The guy doesn't write coherently a lot of the time so he can be hard to follow. Plus, a lot of the time, he seems to be looking to "pick a fight", it's not worth your time Geek2Jock. |
| |||
(deleted posted in the wrong thread sorry...) |
| |||
Exactly my point. Everything he posts is argumentative and baiting others to argue with him so he can 'be right' - it's a self-serving gratification and one I don't play into. The online arena has no rules or moderation, so it's not worthwhile to appease bullies like that. His brother has be messaging me trying to reconcile the situation but I told him I have no interest in pandering to the guy. It is just a game and I'm not going to feed his need to turn it into his own personal arena. |
| |||
So the game just changed and now there's a lowering of the maximum number of trainees a trainer can have. I suppose that seems fair to new players but it demonstrates exactly the dangerous mentality permeating our entire world... which is that authorities have to place restrictions on the successful or the privileged in order to penalize their success and allow the less successful or privileged to gain an advantage without having the invest the same amount of effort and equity to reach the same level of achievement as those who were able to achieve their success without such an advantage! |
| |||
I hate the less fortunate, they get all the breaks! Seriously though 1.) I think you might be putting a bit too much thought into it, and 2.) you can't claim people just beginning the game can "reach the same level of achievement" by exerting "the same amount of effort" as early players did, because the game itself is different than it was when you began. Success was much easier for early players to achieve, so newer players (who are new through no fault of their own) face greater challenges and deserve a break. QED, right? Unexamined privilege, man, it's a poison. |
| |||
What's interesting in my own perspective of this is that I was like the 10,000th player when I began and in a few months I climbed up into the top 100 and few months after that I was in the top 10... that's based on learning to play the game effectively and being diligent, plus a little bit of marketing to keep my trainee queue full. Prior to this change, there was nothing preventing a brand new player from leapfrogging up through the rankings simply by virtue of the fact that with smart budgeting they could continually upgrade their own trainer to someone whose own MI would effect their own gains. Now the problem is that even the top trainers cannot offer their experience to as many trainees regardless of their training fee, so in essence it slows the whole game down - every will be forced to pay higher prices for fewer training spots with the top players who have to triple their own fees in order to keep earning the same amount of money with less trainees. At the end of the day it is just a game! I have to chuckle at myself for getting so wrapped up in it anyways, I am in no way a gamer and this is the only one I've ever played consistently! |
| |||
I can see why they reduced the trainer spots though. I know to a new player I can offer a decent enough MI to start, but the problem is, no one WANTS to higher someone my level. The top trainers were dominating the trainer spots so that the lower players coudlnt get trainees. having trainees helps you gain to so that just gave the highers more of a boost. Not to mention the lack of money coming in because you dont have trainees. Additionally, with less people doing fights, you cant make money via bets that well anymore either. I think they restricted the number of trainees so that there will be more variety in trainers and give lower people a chance to become trainers. |
