Thanks, growingbigger! Oh, and guess what, today I did inward hammer curls with... 75 lbs dumbbells! I was totally excited to lift that weight and to see people around me looking at me in disbelief! Can't wait to lift 80 lbs next week!

Why don't you try something like
Monday chest
Tuesday shoulders and traps
Wednesday back
thursday legs
Friday arms

you're screwing yourself by working arms and shoulders twice a week as there isn't enough time for recovery. And, you cutting yourself short trying to cram all your other body parts into the same day. That sort of plan just makes for spinning your wheels.

If you want to grow, give each bodypart it's own day and do that one bodypart till you can't do it anymore. If you do this you won't need a day off in the middle of the week.

Hi guys!

I have tried a new workout plan (thanks, drew!) and I have made gains in strength, but not in size (it might take more time... ) Basically, I curled 200 pounds on the preacher curl machine (4x10 reps) and I leg pressed 720 pounds (4x10-12 reps). I have gotten stronger in many other exercises.

Anyways, today was a nice day. I went to the grocery store with my mom and one of the caishiers packed a bag to the maximum, to the point he had to lift it with both his arms! (I would say it was about 50 lbs) I told him he could just give it to me and I took it with just one hand pretty easily! You should have seen his eyes. Another cashier (a girl, this time) looked at me constantly as I was leaving the grocery store!

So, that's it for now, I'll give more updates later!

Congrats on your strength gains....Drew knows what he's talking about. It sounds like you are being patient with additional size gains. That is very good. It is easy to get frustrated when you don't see the kind of immediate results you've experienced thus far.

I loved your quick recount from the grocery store. Soak all of those experiences up. Use them as motivation at the gym for that extra rep--OR TWO!

Hey guys,

I've been super-hyper busy with work (a student has to work his ass off during summer, you know... ) but thank god I found some time to work out steadily and heavily. I lost a bit of weight since my last update. At my heaviest, this summer, I was 195 pounds and now I'm down to 185. However, My biceps are a bit bigger than before and everything is pretty much the same, except the waist. I feel leaner and my biceps, pumped are 17"! At last! Cold, they are a bit above 16.5". My chest is still 43", but there is less fat on it, so I gained muscle for sure. I'll post pictures when I have time! Aaaaaaargh! WORK!

Hi guys!

I didn't give any news lately about my progress because I have been really sick. For the past 7-8 weeks, I was feeling so bad and ill that I couldn't go to the gym and I had to quit my summer job earlier. I got diagnosed with mononucleosis, which pisses me off. I have lost a lot of weight (15 pounds) and I barely regained any, so now I weight 180 pounds. I lost a lot of muscle, obviously, and I really feel out of shape. I may not go back to the gym for a good month, since there are days were I get up in the morning and I rush to the bathroom because I feel dizzy and like I'm gonna throw up, so my doctor obligates me to make virtually no effort. Life sucks, sometimes and it sucks a lot right now for me. I really feel like all my efforts were made for nothing. I'm pretty pissed.

Anyways, as soon as I can get back to the gym, I'll start writing again.

Hi guys,

Here is a little update. For a month, I tried getting back to the gym, but every time, I would feel very bad after just a few exercises, especially in my abdomen, since mononucleosis can make your liver and some other organs swell and make them sensitive to effort for a while.

Anyways, I started bulking to give myself some energy and stamina and right now I am at 203-205 pounds. I bought some hand grippers so I work on my hand strength and I can now close quite easily my 150 lbs one (200lbs gripper, here I come!). I also work on my forearms and they are now over 13 inches (I know, I have small forearms, that's why I'm working on them, hahaha. At least they already grew a bit).

So, yesterday I decided to buy Muscletech Nanovapor because a friend of mine told me it was a good product and that it could probably help me get back on track. (I'm not doing an add or promotion or something, ok? lol.) It's very expensive, like pretty much everything at GNC. Anyways, I took a portion of that product and 30-35 minutes later, I started doings sets of 21's with two 20 lbs dumbbells (I seriously have to start light, or I will hurt myself bad) and it went well. I did some bench dips too and it went well again. I did some chin-ups and, well, it didn't go so well, hahaha, but hey, at least I managed to do several without feeling pain! The point is that I got a monster pump, it was kinda between a pleasurable and painful punp, hahaha. I measured my arms and cold, they are about 16,25", but pumped they were almost 17" and unusually tight! NanoVapor is supposed to have that effect, but I was kinda suprised it did, hahaha. Only problem: I got lightheaded several times and had to sit. I read that that product also had that effect. Other than that, I like it!

So, I managed to work out yesterday without feeling extreme pain like usual, which means I am probably ready to go back to the gym safely! I think I will start again on monday. Seriously, I can't wait to go back to the gym. I used to workout 4-5 times a week and for me it was a pleasure because I could see myself growing, tell you guys about it, spend some quality time with myself and feel better.

I'll probably make an update post in a few weeks. My principal objective is still to have 17" biceps cold, or even bigger, and to weight about 230 lbs before cutting for summer. I also want to increase my grip strength, so if you have tips, they are welcome. I want to be able to close my 300 lbs gripper by the end of the year.

Am glad to see your update. Even after mono, it sounds like you are still a hulking guy. Use the supplement's effects as motivation as you push yourself to new growth. At the same time, listen to your body and don't try to get to 230 in a week or two!?! Good luck with your training and I look forward to seeing pic updates.

Haha, thanks, 1bigwoof. Yeah, those supplements effects are definitively a motivation for growth, hahaha. Today, Ii pumped up my biceps and they were even closer to 17"!

You are right, it would be bad to try to get to my goal weight too fast. I will listen to my body.

Hey guys!

Bulking is going well, but I find it hard to eat all that food, lol. Let's say protein shakes and oatmeal are my best friends right now, hahaha. I'm now weighting 211 pounds. (just weighted this morning)

I trained yesterday and my biceps, pumped measure 17 1/8"!!! I'm soooo happy about that. I know I have more fat than before, but I don't really care right now. Unpumped, they are 16,5". Looks like I'm back on track!

However, I can't really do hard exercises yet. Basically, yesterday I did 4-5 sets of 21's with 20 lbs dumbbells (I have to take it slow, ok? haha), 3 sets of 12 hammer curls with 35 lbs dumbbells, bench dips and behind the neck triceps exercises with the 20 lbs dumbbells. Oh, I also did concentration curls with the same dumbbells. The bummer is that I kinda felt bad for the rest of the day in the abdomen region, lol. I'm very sensitive and I hope that this sensitivity will get the hell out of my life soon!

Yeah, so I'm kinda satisfied with my progress, that's for sure! Can't wait to weight 230 lbs or more!!!

Thanks, 1bigwoof! I'm definitely working on them as much as I can right now, hahaha. Once I weight 230 lbs or more with biceps of 17-17.5" COLD or more, I'll start a super cut de la muerte. My brother is gonna get married in about 5 months and I have to look STUNNING on the special day, since I am his best man, hahaha. I feel that the mononucleosis was a good thing for me, in a way, because I was lacking an objective and motivation, before. Now, I want to be bigger and stronger than ever, be ready for my brother's wedding and make my muscle memory work it's ass off, hahaha!
