I know I'll be in the minority, but I like the haircut. I *love* the leaner you. Your arms look mammoth. Are you still planning to cut further? Well done so far.

hehehe um, with arms that big, I don't think we'll care too much about your hair. DAMN! Love the vid!

Your biceps have GREAT size, please don't forget to enlarge the tri's they make up about 3/5th's of the arm's size. Bigger tri's = bigger looking bis :P

Thanks, 1bigwoof. I think my arms do look bigger, even if in fact they got a bit smaller (you can't help it when you lose 35 pounds, right?) For now, I'll just quit the "cut phase", or whatever I was doing, and I'll concentrate on eating well, but gaining muscle. I won't be bulking up, but I won't be cutting down either. I'll be GROWING!

Msllover, I'm glad you liked the vid! I'm actually working harder than ever on the triceps, I think you can see in the vid that they are getting bigger and more defined. But for some reason, my biceps seem to grow a lot faster than my triceps, which sucks. But I'm getting there!

Take care guys,

Niko777

Thanks, man. I have some long term objectives about my growth/progress:

1) To be able to curl 100 pounds dumbbells easily
2) To have a 50" chest
3) To have a 31" waist
4) To have 19" arms
5) To be able to do 120 push ups non stop
6) To have a 19-20" neck (already 17")
7) To be able to do 150 crunches non stop
8) To leg press 1000 pounds easily
9) To have a 6 pack (not beer, hahaha)
10) To be able to close completely my 350 pounds resistance hand gripper

Once I get all those objectives, I'll be satisfied, but aiming even higher, hahaha.

Anyways, take care,

Niko777

Thanks man. This morning, I woke up and I was around 196 pounds! And my arms are almost a quarter of an inch bigger! I love feeling bigger in the morning, even if my objective right now is to lose fat. But I don't think I gained fat, since my pants are a bit loose...

Take care,

Hi guys! A new pic and a new vid. I'm around 195 lbs lately, and my biceps are 16.75 cold, and around 17.25 pumped. Since I leaned down a bit, I think I gained some mass.

Pic: http://www.flickr.com/photos/50710715@N06/6188662539/

Vid: http://www.flickr.com/photos/50710715@N06/6189180036/

In that vid, I was so pumped that it was almost hurting, lol.

Anyway, tell me what you think about my progress!

Thanks for your comments, guys! I definitely think my triceps are growing bigger, at last!

Yesterday, I was in the bus, and I started wondering about the point where I would be big enough. And I realized that I never wanted to stop growing! Lol. Is it that I suffer from bigorexia?!?!? Lol. Anyways, I just want to continue to grow bigger and bigger and bigger!

Take care guys,

Niko777

Both your biceps and triceps look really good, Niko. Great size but seeing the cuts, too! Congratulations on continuing to fine tune your physique. Yep, sounds like you might have a case of bigorexia.....the remedy is usually a strict gym regimen accompanied by massive amounts of food.

Thanks for your comments! Strict regimen? Massive amounts of food? BRING IT! Hahahaha.

Ok, so I wrote in my update that I was around 195 lbs. Actually, I didn't really weight myself for a few days, so it was not accurate.

You see, I decided to start a cycle of creatine, and add to that cycle some supplements I'm going to receive in a few days: "Astravar", a nitric oxide amplifier, "Nutrex Niox", a nitric oxide pre-workout, and "Universal 100% beef aminos". I've ready amazing reviews on many serious websites about those products, so I decided to give it a try.

I'll start in the morning with a protein drink (myofusion in my case) mixed with 5 grams of creatine powder (a local brand called "Le Naturiste", pretty cheap and effective) along with 2 tabs of beef aminos. (around 8 am) I'll then take 4 tabs of nutrex niox along with 1 tab of astravar. (around 8:30 am) I'll start working out at 9 am until around 10:30 am.

I talked about my weight not being accurate earlier because this morning, I weighed myself and I was 202 lbs! :S Looks like the creatine is acting very fast on me! And it doesn't feel like I'm bloated or anything. It's the 4th day that I'm on creatine, and my muscles feel hard and full, but not bloated or anything.

Anyways, I'll keep updating my progress!

Take care,

Niko777

Hi guys,

I read on a forum that people thought that the proportions for arms, calves and neck should be 1/1/1. What do you think about that? Right now, I'm exactly in those proportions. Everything is 17". If I want to get my arms to, let's say, 20", should I get my neck and my calves to 20" too to look balanced?

Thanks in advance for your comments,

Niko777

I always find that interesting too man. I think they should be with a certain balance. But right now I have 19.5" arms, 19" neck and 18.5" calves, so you just work them all hard and hope to stay within an inch of each other.

never thought of that, but it does make sense. I'm almost 1/1/1. arms are 16.25 cold. neck is 16. calves are 16.

I think this 1/1/1 proportion comes from early bodybuilders. Steve Reeves of Mr. America fame, had those proportions in the 1940s when he won Mr. America. I think those proportions are held up as a sort of "golden mean" standard of perfection when talking about muscle building.

GTlifter, you seem to be HUGE! At the rate I'm growing right now, it shouldn't be too long until I catch you up! Lol.

Dodoria, I think it also makes a lot of sense.

Mdlftr, I guess it comes from the early bodybuilders. I love their classic look, almost like greek statues. I think it's a good objective to want to maintain that "golden" balance.

The arm/neck/calf ratio was from the olden days of bodybuilding. Steve Reeves actually gave these as the ideal proportions:

Muscle to bone ratios:
Arm size = 252% of wrist size
Calf size = 192% of ankle size
Neck Size = 79% of head size
Chest Size = 148% of pelvis size
Waist size = 86% of pelvis size
Thigh size = 175% of knee size

So in my case the Ideal Proportions to his model would be (Keep in mind I'm 5'6"):
Arm: 17.64
Calf: 17.76
Neck: 17.775
Chest: 62.16
Waist: 36.12
Thigh: 26.25

I think my chest would look crazy at 62 inches... I'd be almost as big around as I am tall... while that would be hot, I think it would look odd only having 18" arms.

Thanks for the info, gogr2! But you know, from the stats you gave you can see that your ideal proportions for arms, calves and neck are almost exactly at a ration of 1/1/1. For the chest, it's just plain crazy, lol!

If I follow the guide you gave, here are my "Ideal measurements"

ARM: 17.64"
CALF: 19.2"
NECK: 18.17"
CHEST: 59.2"
WAIST: 34.4"
THIGH: 28"

(I'm 5'11")

The arms seem too small for me, while the calf and the neck seem ok, the chest is IMPOSSIBLE, lol, the waist seems a bit high and the thighs look ok.

What do you think?

Niko777

Thanks. No, no update for a while. In short, I've had to let go of the training to concentrate more on school. UNIVERSITY IS CRAAAAZY!

Also, I'm a bit short on money and my gym costs 500$ a year, so I'm gonna train at home for a while, hahahaha.

But don't worry, my arms are still 17" and I'll try to post updates as soon as I can.

Take care guys,

Niko

Hi guys,

Thanks worshipper for reminding me, I was so busy with school and everyday life that I almost forgot about this thread, lol. Sorry about that guys.

Here is an update for the last months.

My weight got down to around 190 lbs. Then, I realized that I was trying to get a kind of physique that I could not really achieve: the male model look. You see, I'm big boned and even if I don't train my chest at all, it's like 44 inches minimum. (just measured it and it's 45 inches right now, unpumed and underworked). My waist is very unlikely to go under 31-32 inches, since I'm kinda wide anyway.

I also talked with my best friend (she's a very sincere person) and asked her if I looked better more on the bullky side or on the slim (ish) side. And she told me I looked better bulky and strong and that I shouldn't not try to get a fitness-freak-160 pounds-shredded physique, because I would only torture myself and get pissed because I wouldn't succeed. And I realized she was 100% right. It was as if I was a big strong farm horse trying to lose weight to look like a slim stallion. And I also realized I looked and felt good when bulky.

So I put back some of the weight I had lost. Here are my actual stats, unpumped:

- Height: 5'11
- Weight: 220 lbs
- Biceps: 17 1/8" (cold, 17 3/4 pumped)
- Chest: 45"
- Waist: who friggin cares?!?!? lol.
- Calves: 17,5"

I plan on gaining weight until I get to 250 lbs or even more. Then, I will diet down to 220 lbs. I will then bulk until 260, then diet to 230, etc... One of my dreams is now to be 300 lbs with not so much fat. It's like a dream that I will work my ass off to attain, lol. A fun fact is that my biceps are almost as big as they were when I was 230 lbs. So I hope that by the time I get to 250 lbs, my arms will be at least 18 1/2" cold. I don't think that gaining a bit more than 1 inch on the arms while gaining 30 pounds is unrealistic.

The only problem I'm having right now is gaining weight, lol. I'm going to the gym 4-5 times a week and it goes well, but even thought I eat TONS of food and don't do any cardio, I have trouble going over 220 lbs. Any suggestions? I'm not rich so buying some fancy kickass 1000 calories/portion shake is not an option, lol.

Anyway, thanks for the interest you have in my progress, this is very stimulating for me.

Niko

Hi guys,

I think I'll post picture updates next week, or maybe a bit before, as soon as I get over 220 lbs, lol.

Take care,

Niko

By the way, do you guys have cheap recipes or tricks to add to my calorie intake? I'd like to attain 4,000-5,000 calories a day minimum, which can be hard. Oh, and eating junk food is not an option, lol. Can't even remember the last time I went to a McDonald's, hahahaha.

Hey niko...really glad to see you have "come to terms" with yourself. I agree with your friend. You look amazing big and bulky. I admire you for wanting to add clean size. For me, one of the best cheap calories adds is milk. It's basically liquid protein. I usually drink skim but sometimes will do 1% or 2% for more flavor. Check out the GOMAD program.

Good lucK!

I completely agree with 1bigwoof, tried the GOMAD diet before, usually you want to do whole milk because a gallon of whole milk has 2500 calories in it. But you have to work your way up to it and it does have results.

OMG, the GOMAD diet requires 1 gall of milk A DAY?!?!?! I don't even drink milk, lol, I'm kinda intolerant, with cramps and tummy aches and everything, looool! I always drink almond or rice milk... :S Oh well, I guess I'll just eat as much as I can, lol. Thanks anyway guys!
