Alex was momentarily confused, before replying, “No-one,” and taking his order to a table, a tray piled with burgers. Barely thinking about it, Alex ate through one after another, stopping only to unwrap the next one. He was barely aware of the staff watching the spectacle in front of them – a pretty muscled guy eating a mass of burgers – but he was too preoccupied by filling the emptiness in his belly.

He thought about this for a moment as he went back into his room and collapsed on his bed. But Alex hadn’t realised how tired he was, and quickly fell into a deep, happy sleep.
