I'll take him for the month for only $1080! He looks like one hell of a log splitter! (Couldn't resist... in that last pic it looks like HE is the equipment for rent ) |
| |||
Wow! I had to go back and re-read the original post. This guy's arms looked so big I thought the pics might have been morphed. Much to my pleasure, it looks like they are just really that SWOLE!? Thanks for sharing, pecboi. |

Duplicate Post, Sorry |

So at the gym - he's probably 30's, 5'9", 170?180 pds.(I'm bad at guessing weight) - and strong. One of those guys that is slim and low bodyfat. So not something that you would expect: heavy weights. Not a shock if he's 250 pds or 230 pds, etc. but this guy slim and 'small' : Doing 100 pound dumbbell flat bench press; Doing 70 pound dumbbell one-arm row. I was impressed and amazed at size versus strength I was seeing. |

Is "pecboi" aware that all of his links are "not available" On a similar topic, I was at a local election count in May, taking pictures of the counting process when a friend who was standing jigged me and said he'd been elected. When I looked at the pics back, I found I had taken a picture of one of the leisure centre (where the count was being held) staff who seemed to be sporting a very large set of calves. Is this the case in the US at all (where sports centre staff wear only shorts all the time and show off their quads / calves)? __________________ The stronger they are, the more muscled they are |

Does Ryan Barry Count As A Sighting? Okay... first off... I'm sooo not into the gay "scene." Really. I live a pretty quiet existence. I travel when I can and generally keep up with current events. I don't watch E!Entertainment or other such info-tainment news sources. I'm odd, I still read newspapers instead of blogs. I was extended an invitation to use a friend’s home in Palm Springs over the 3-day weekend. Seeing how getting out of town would be a nice change of pace, I took a couple of my stressed-out buddies to escape life's grind/pressures –- call it sort of a gay version of "Enchanted April" -- and headed down to Palm Springs to relax and rejuvenate. Palm Springs is a wonderful place to visit. Green fairways, swimming pools, palm trees and mountains. It's incredible to see people in shorts, t-shirts and flip flops in the dead of winter. And there’s no shortage of well-built men and boys in and about town. But I digress. Getting back to the sighting... on Saturday evening we go to a well-established bar called Hunters. My buddies want to check out the local scene. The place is packed, the music is pulsing and there's plenty of eye-candy -- including the requisite go-go boys. More on that possibly later. As we wedge our way to the bar, two of my friends go into gay cardiac arrest (you know, the "gay gasp"). I see them struggling to maintain some sense of dignity and I ask what's going on. I’m informed that Ryan Barry is standing next to us. "Ryan who," I quietly inquire? Well, you could have heard a pin drop. No joke here, I think everyone in the room stopped what they were doing that moment and looked at me as if I was a total idiot or living on a remote island for the last 10 years. I then get a look at him. Snug polo shirt, beautifully shaped arms, black hair, blue eyes and certainly confident about his appearance. In short, the man was extremely handsome. I liked his arms but it wouldn’t hurt for them to be a little bigger. After all, this is a muscle growth site. ;-) For others on this Board who may be shamelessly ignorant of this man’s reputed beauty, here ya go: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&i...1&q=ryan+barry Sorry, Richard. No pics on the go-go boys. Last edited by ARCHEON; January 20th, 2009 at 06:12 AM. Reason: Punctuation |

I was likewise clueless. Thanks for the link! xoxo Richard |

Your writing, ARcheon, I just laughed out loud at your descriptions in your post {"gay cardiac arrest" the gasp} Have you thought of writing anything for the forum? I also have to say I agree with your favorite mm choices = the genetic freaks. Keep up the good work! Mdlftr [generally clueless, but enjoys good writing and pix] |

yep, that gasp accurately describes it! http://www.ryanfitness.com/ |

--- Thank you for the links. I did not know who Ryan Barry was. A little later online, I found out he is going out with Reichen Lehmkuhl ? http://www.afterelton.com/people/200...nds?page=0%2C1 Article dated Oct 19th Altho another has mentioned them out and about in 2007. Ah well -I'm all the way in Asia - Doesnt matter, eh --- |
| |||
Not only have I not heard of Ryan Barry, I had never seen his photos either. Like Archeon, I recently went through a similar reaction when I had never seen nor heard of Brody Jenner. |
| |||
And I thought, "ho hum, another fitness model." Looks great on a poster, beautiful faces, in any event, and, well, too skinny for my taste. Give me Goldberg, thanks! xoxo Richard |
| |||
Yum.....Goldberg! Is he still around? ;-) |
| |||
Probably not but I lust over his memory, if nothing else! :-) Of course, he's quite a bit smaller than you are, SWMassMan, so maybe I need to readjust my sites! Richard |
| |||
You're welcome. But I think you and I agree that our personal tastes would prefer him with more size. Can you imagine? Woof. Quote:
Seriously, he is much more handsome in person. Photos, in my opinion, don't really do his eyes or dimensions justice. Yet, I still like 'em a bit bigger. Hence, the title of my post, "Does Ryan Qualify As A (Muscle) Sighting?" Yeah, seems we weren't alone in that category. lol. His Facebook page indicates he studied at Cambridge to get his Doctorate. Hmm. Apparently a brain as well as a bod. Nothing wrong with that. But I?m siding with Richard on this one -- more muscle size. |
| |||
If you want yum, Richard, look in a mirror. __________________ Hulkoutlvr |

Sorry, about the broken link. This one works: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3448/...56d42963_o.jpg P.S.- Check out his jeans, next to his right hand. Last edited by pecboi; January 24th, 2009 at 07:35 AM. |

first creatine is an amino acid it will not make you fat. its pulls water into the muscle groups. what made him fat was his diet. pure and simple. i am amazed how people confuse creatine with all sorts of things. |

White Thug Stud I went to the car wash today (and after rinsing the car off found little specks of rust everywhere ) and got a very nice visual treat. While waiting for an open wash bay, I saw this white guy, About 5'7" (1.7 meters) or less, dressed in a black t-shirt, baggy jeans (sagging but not embarrassingly so), and a black and red baseball cap. He had a thick head of brown hair and a small goatee. Most of all I noticed that he had nice forearms. So I was already checking him out a little but I was mainly waiting for a spot to free up. Then he took his shirt off. Even though he still had on a black tank top underneath (tragic!) I saw that this guy was ripped! Not huge yet but definitely better than the usual tall, skinny model boys. If only he had taken his tank off I could have seen his pecs which looked very thick and well defined. His arms were lean but well shaped. Think of what a gymnasts body is like. This guy has a body like that. Now just put on a rougher edge (but not overkill like the losers on MTV's G's to Gents) and you'll have him. I caught a bare glance as his stomach and he was ripped there too. He even had thick obliques (Love handles made of muscle instead of fat) which are very rare but extremely sexy to me. Unfortunately, by the time I finished washing my car, he still hadn't taken his tank top off. That's okay, though. I'll be fantasizing about him and his buddy (black dude, not as big, and not as exhibitory, but still in good shape) having hot sex on the downlow with the car wash hoses. |

erm I think you mean Parkour (which apparently translates to free movement).. free basing is a drug term.. usually in reference to turning cocaine into crack |
| |||
BigBearny,..i think u might be right..Silly me...! But i'm sure i've heard that phrase pertaining to Parkour somewhere about..? |
| |||
i think the term you were looking for might have been free running? |
| |||
I was begining to wonder if that was an English term for something. |

Branch Warren was on my flight back to Dallas today.... I chatted with him briefly while we were boarding. He's about 250# now (a few weeks after a show), guns about 21", and his next contest is the Olympia (Sept I believe). Nice enough guy, but no chance for a picture. |
| |||
Wow, cool meeting there Martin! |
| |||
let me preface this by saying that i hate it when people sag their pants, its disgusting. but last night i'm at my new gym when i go over to the multistation and wham! the first and only time i have ever seen anyone look sexy with their pants sagging. the guy is about 6' or so, black/white, young, and handsome with an afro puff. the underarmour shirt he was wearing looked like it was painted over his muscles and the pants looked like he couldn't tell that they were dropping. maybe he had something heavy in one pocket that made them just slide down at a very sexy angle. i like this gym! |

Guy at Maccie D's I met up with a mate from work for a lunch break today.We lunched at McDonalds. Sitting at the table next to us was this bodybuilder type guy. About the size of,..say Chris Jalali. Wearing a tight long sleeved grey sheer polo that conformed to his every curving muscle.. Thick arms,heavy pecs.. My mate is a regular gym bunny.He has a lean athletic physique. The guy is the goal he'd [and being a handsome young 20 year old--my invisioned fantasy] like to achieve soon. Not hearing that he had heard [over the noise from a nearby table of screaming toddlers] me ask him if that was indeed his goal the first time round.. my repeat questions to him were overheard by the big guy who then got into a short chat about gym training and sessions to my mate.. Gave me a chance to better look at those muscles.. |

Saw a guy today at a local 7-11 that looked to be fairly well built as he was walking past me, good sized legs, arms had to be about the same size as mine minus the fat, matching back and shoulders, damn tall (looked to be mid 6', I'm 5'11" and had to look up to see his face!) all in all he was pretty consistant through his build until I noticed his chest.....he must go overboard on those because they were standing out from the rest of his body by a good couple inches! Then for some odd reason, the first thing that came to mind was that quite a few of you guys would have had a fit if you could have seen him! |

Spring flex Have you ever noticed in the bbing mags when they show the competitors, and they all look like they're walking around with their lats spread, as in, "my God, my batwing lats and huge arms are so humongous that they compete for space, and I have to hold my arms out"? On the one hand, it looks cool. On the other hand, it looks (or can look) really affected and fake, particularly once the competitors relax, and look schlumpy, with everything sagging. Ouch! Well, I saw one in real life today. And it WASN'T affected. Starbucks, mid morning, temp outside around mid 50s. Weather for a light jacket, or long sleeved shirt. Most of the people in Starbucks are dressed like that, while they sip their caffeine concoctions, working on their laptops. Door opens. Guy strides in, arms akimbo. About 5'11" tall, maybe 200-205#? TIGHT. Looks in his 50s. Tan, weathered face with sharply trimmed mustache. Severe expression. Dark blue, short sleeved tshirt, tucked neatly into snug fitting, but not overly tight jeans. Workboots (real ones, with natural scuffing). Broad, square shoulders. Deep chest. Thick throughout the upper torso and body. Forearms are cut, bulging with tanned, working muscle and crisscrossed with veins. Strides in and gets a group order (tray of coffees, etc.) Strides out. Shoulders are naturally squared out with the arms out to the sides the whole time. Gets into Ford truck (purple paint job -- interesting color choice) with four door cab. Drives off. Shoulders squared the whole time. Everything is hard and tight and thick. "Daddy muscle" anyone? Mdlftr |

It must be awkward walking around with your hands on your hips. Cool sighting, tho. Last edited by wolfotehmoon; April 22nd, 2009 at 07:24 AM. |

Ate a restaurant today, and had a waiter that looked like a student, maybe in his early 20s. Average looking guy, and soft spoken but polite. He was about 5'-10", and had on one of those obnoxiously big white short-sleeved shirts waiters sometimes wear that made it hard to see many details of his physique. Still, a few things stood out. I noticed right away how thick, big and ripped his visible forearms were tight away, as he put them in my face to put down our drinks. I decided he likely was no stranger to the weight room, and potentially had an incredible body hidden under that huge shirt. His shoulders appeared thick, wide, and rounded under the too big shirt (deciding on 2nd look it must be a big XL or a XXL). Upper body looked thick, and he had a small waist with glutes that were tight and protruding straight outward, like someone who wasn't afraid of doing a lot of squats would look. I also figured he looked well over 200 lbs. Anyhow, never could see more because of that blasted shirt, but I just HAD to know what was under that sleeve. So when I was leaving, he was waiting on another table in my aisle. As I walked by, I grabbed his right upper arm with which he was holding his tray to get his attention and speak to him. He looked at me, and I thanked him for his good service and then I left. Well I was in such awe I could barely walk! I had been right about my observations: his upper arm was nothing but incredibly hard, tensed, thick, full, rounded muscle, with a bicep the size of a softball. I have big hands, and my hand being completely open could not take the whole width of his arm! I'd say 19" easy. Still can't get over it. This guy definitely shouldn't be so shy about his great guns being seen and roll up those sleeves. Last edited by pecboi; April 27th, 2009 at 08:56 AM. |

My training partner and I started lifting at a Gold's about a month or two ago. It has been our solution to the lack of heavy weights and inspiring atmosphere at our long-time gym, which is too health-clubby. One of the nice things about this Gold's is that there are bigger guys than us! (That is not meant to sound as conceited as it does.) Yesterday I am pretty sure Matt Lowden was there. http://www.musculardevelopment.com/b...browse&id=7790 http://www.musculardevelopment.com/b...&eventcode=488 The guy is big and strong. He had five wheels on each side of the Hammer Strength chest press. Apparently this Gold's used to have even more competitive bodybuilders than today. In talking with the staff, our best guess is that they left the area. But I'm happy just to have the big guys who are still there. I don't know whether it was having Lowden there or if it was something else spurring me on, but I got the 110-lb DBs up for shoulder presses for the first time. Made me very happy. |
